Publisher's Summary

Do you know what the advantage is of natural handmade soaps and why more and more people create organic handmade soap at home with their own hands?

  • First of all, it is a creative product, with a piece of your heart and soul. Soap crafting is an occupation for your soul and it brings joy and pleasure for those people who are engaged in this process.
  • Soap produced in large volumes, in chemical industries, cleans so well, that it washes, along with dust and dirt, all the protective oils from our skin. And we end up with dry, prematurely aging skin.
  • Our book with handmade soap recipes will teach you how to create the best handmade soap - a soap that contains natural oils and organic additives - honey, oats, calendula flowers, chocolate, and more. Homemade soap is enriched with oils such as olive, sea buckthorn, peach, wheat germ oil, and many more oils that have a moisturizing, rejuvenating, and anti-cellulite effect.
  • Easy natural homemade soap is a great and original gift, which hardly anyone could remain indifferent about. Natural ingredients, the basis of which skin handmade soap is created, have a beneficial effect on the skin. Natural handmade soap is devoid of drawbacks. By cleansing the skin with organic soap, you can get rid of peeling and dryness. By experimenting with different oils, you can create a soap that is suitable for your skin. Scrub effect, moisturizing effect, vitaminizing effect, anti-cellulite effect - all this is achieved by simply adding an ingredient.
  • The aesthetic side is also important. With our recipes for homemade soap, you will find out how to create any shape: heart, flower, oval, car, and so on. In addition, by mixing colored masses, adding dry flower petals, and using other methods of decoration, you can create a truly unique soap that will delight others and will be a real decoration of your bathroom.
  • Homemade soap can be a powerful means of aromatherapy, because it often includes natural essential oils. Now it will not be difficult to create a soap with your favorite smell. Vanilla and lavender, lily of the valley, and lilac - the smell of soap made with your own hands will be totally unlike the chemical smells of soap made industrially.

So once again the advantages of natural handmade soap include:

  1. Clear skin;
  2. Hydration and nutrition, thanks to natural oils;
  3. Aromatherapy while using soap;
  4. Aesthetic pleasure;
  5. Making your own choices in creating handmade soap, you are able to choose an eco-friendly product.

Great book for new and experienced soapers

I have been making soap for about 20 years. I love how there are tips for each type (cold and hot process, liquid and melt and pour) of soap. I can't wait to make the liquid soap which I have not done before. The book includes step-by-step instructions, nice scent blend ideas

Perfect

A year ago I was looking for a print book on natural soapmaking & boy do I wish this book had been out then. It is all you need to get started. It covers both hot & cold process, has lots of vegan recipes but also some with lard & tallow, contains no recipes with palm oil due to environmental concerns, has great essential oil info & blends rather than info on fragrance oils, lots of plant-based & clay colorants but no FD&C dyes, and natural additives like honey, oatmeal & bee pollen. There is info on both infusing the oils with herbs and infusing milks with herbs for the milk soaps. All the instructions are clear & easy to understand, the photos are gorgeous & there is a troubleshooting section too. There are even a few simple swirling techniques.

Perfect narration

I am very interested in making my own soaps and beauty products since I believe in self sufficiency since going off grid. I have been making my own laundry soap for a long time since my daughter was born and she is now 10 years old so I decided why not make my own body soaps and shampoo as well.

Love this soap making book.

I am new to soapmaking. After tried out many times of Melt and Pour, I think it's time for me to try cold process soap.Then I decided to give this book a try. The book is very informative and easy to understand. Also love all the natural ingredients that it used. I saw a review saying that the glue of the book came off but actually I believe it made that way. At the back of the book cover says 'premium binding, stays open and hands free'

A wealth of knowledge

Due to an unfortunately timed arm injury, I cannot soap at this time, so I’ve been soaping vicariously by slowly savoring this book. The recipes sound delicious and Amanda gives great tips in addition to providing safety information, recipes, resources and sharing her wealth of knowledge

A Wonderful Book

It suggested coconut milk as a potential substitute for goat milk in recipes. It has a full color guide to natural colorants. I would recommend this book to any soap maker interested in making vegan eco friendly soap.

So simple and yet so profound.

I have so many books on soapmaking and this is by far the book that has won my heart. It has so many ways of making soaps and everything in this book is categorized and organized. The artist has included the many ways we can use nature in soapmaking. This book is a great investment. Especially in today's world where everyone is going Green and staying away from harsh chemicals.
