Publisher's summary

Discover the power of natural magic and healing through herbs, flowers, and essential oils in this new guide to green witchcraft.

At her core, the green witch is a naturalist, an herbalist, a wise woman, and a healer. She embraces the power of nature; she draws energy from the Earth and the Universe; she relies on natural objects like stones and gems to commune with the land she lives off of; she uses plants, flowers, oils, and herbs for healing; she calls on nature for guidance; and she respects every living being no matter how small.

In The Green Witch, you will learn the way of the green witch, from how to use herbs, plants, and flowers to make potions and oils for everyday healing as well as how crystals, gems, stones, and even twigs can help you find balance within. You’ll discover how to find harmony in Earth’s great elements and connect your soul to every living creature. This guide also contains directions for herbal blends and potions, ritual suggestions, recipes for sacred foods, and information on how to listen to and commune with nature. Embrace the world of the green witch and discover what the power of nature has in store for you.

better book to have handy

in my opinion it's a better book to have handy as there are a lot of useful recipes ect that you will not remember. and a rather dry listening experience but information was good :)

A great primer and reference for Green Witchiness

I love this book! I read it in eBook format from my library, then bought in in hardback and the Audible book. That's how much I liked it. The Green Witch covers the philosophy of earth based spellcraft. It provides useful reference of plants, essential oils, and ready made spells. The author also builds a framework for readers to become comfortable writing their own spells, which is the goal.

Gabra Zackman has a soothing, precise cadence that makes Arin Murphy-Hiscock's material shine. I've now purchased all of the author's titles that are available on Audible. I highly recommend this to anyone new to Green Witchery and with a love of nonfiction audio!

Personal note to Audible: Please commission Gabra Zackman to record Murphy-Hiscock's other books! I'd love to listen to "Protection Spells" and "Out of the Broom Closet." I'd purchase them in a heart-beat.

Couldn’t get past 2nd chapter...yawn.

I was looking for a book that gave interesting facts about people using what the Earth provides for healing and community wellness...like stepping ginger for a headache or learning about various moons and how each one effects us differently.
What I seem to have gotten is a book that she says the phrase “green witch” like a 30 times every paragraph! The beginning was so basic with sentences stating to be kind to nature and it will be kind back or love yourself before helping others...that I just returned it. 😕

♤ should read, little recipes more applications

Beware this book is not filled with recipes as it says and if you're buying the audio book obviously you can't see the recipes there are certain recipes that are mentioned, some are not seen obvious they are in the book.
I would not recommend this book to anyone

Good, but really didn’t like the narrators voice.

The book was full of wonderful information.. it just hurt to listen to it, as the narrator seemed to be trying to hard to sound “sexy”? Very breathy and just not my thing.. other than that, it was great.!

Great audiobook

It’s so informative that I might have to buy the paper version to get all of the recipes and recommendations. I have an hour drive and listened to this twice already. The audio reader has a great voice and easy to listen to.

Little real content about herbalism

I tried hard with this book and suffered through 3 hours, with some fast forwarding. Lots of generic fluff.. “Touch the tree and ask for its permission to interact with its energy. If you don’t feel acceptance, thank it for its consideration and wish it well.” And “feel the individual particles of the freshly turned soil exchange energy through your toes.” Again… most of the book is this stuff… So three hours into the book we got to a quick rundown of a few trees, then a few flowers… and I stopped. Not at all what the title leads you to believe. Disappointing. Plus, the narration was sleep-inducing. She reads with a raspiness and intonation more appropriate for a romance novel than a book about witchcraft (or in this case, tree hugging).

This book is awesome and will be purchasing a copy

I really enjoyed listening to this book online !
What I enjoyed the most was it's relaxed manner and style !

The narrator was graceful and easy to follow along.
I do wish however, it was a read a long version that maybe I could have downloaded, but then again I just actually started using this sit for book reading when I do not have the physical time to sit and read a book but listening in when I am up cleaning the house or cooking !

So maybe with time, I can figure that feature out, if there is any !
You will not be frustrated with reading this treasure at all, it's a delight to stumble upon the tips closer to the back or the book !
Thanks so much !
