Publisher's summary

Original cast members from the beloved TV series, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, reunite for an all-new adventure about connections that never die—even if you bury them.

A decade has passed since the epic final battle that concluded Buffy the Vampire Slayer (TV). The game-changing spell that gave power to all potential Slayers persists. With new Slayers constantly emerging, things are looking grim for the bad guys. Rebellious vampire Spike (James Marsters) is working undercover in Los Angeles with his old pal Clem (James Charles Leary) when he meets feisty, rookie Slayer, Indira (Laya DeLeon Hayes), who wants Spike to be her mentor. Stakes intensify as Cordelia Chase (Charisma Carpenter) emerges from an alternate reality where she alone is the Slayer, and Buffy Summers doesn’t exist. Cordelia enlists Spike’s help with a classic big bad terrorizing her world…his ex, Drusilla (Juliet Landau). Giles (Anthony Head), Anya (Emma Caulfield Ford), Jonathan (Danny Strong), and Tara (Amber Benson) also return, but through the years and the vastness of the multiverse, not everyone is who they used to be…

Slayers: A Buffyverse Story is written and directed by Amber Benson and Chris Golden, and co-directed by Kc Wayland.

Great! Nostalgia abounds....

This was a really great quickie (coming in at 8 hours should result in a lower price point). It was sorely missing one character in the narrative - WILLOW. I can actually live without Buffy in a Buffyverse story - but no Willow is hard. Also, pretty tired of Spike at this point.

I would really like an Anya stand alone! Thanks for brining back to my adolescence for a few hours. These are some great characters!!!

Listen to this, you’ll love it!

This was wonderful! It took me back to the characters in the show. A rollicking good time! It made me laugh & made me a little teary, at times. Will there be another? Oh, I hope so!!!

More please

Even though it didn’t have the entire original cast ( Buffy, Dawn and Willow for example) I want there to be more adventures with Cordelia the vampire slayer and her prodigy indira.

There needs to be more.

I must have more. I will not say what the cliffhanger was or who was involved, but oh my gosh, there must be more. It cannot be just this one book.

I realize this is not super helpful in terms of a review, but honestly, that is my take away. This was everything I was expecting and more. The predictions I had as I listened to the story play out did not go the way I thought they would, and I love it when that happens. It was amazing to hear the voices of most of my favorite characters again, and the ones that we’ve yet to hear, who knows? If this does become a series, I will absolutely be here for it just as I was for Buffy the Vampire Slayer all those years ago.

Loved it! Very well done. It has the spirit of the original series while still being new and original. I very much hope there will be more to come.

Decent for long time fans

Not a huge fan of radio teleplay style entries and generally prefer narrative verse but I made an exception to hear Marsters, Carpenter, Heard, et al reprise their roles and they made the effort to hit all the right notes for us.

Better than Okay

I feel like this is about what I expected. There wasn't anything shocking or surprising. There wasn't anything that blew my mind. It was just a lot of Buffyverse with the right amount of twists to bring back dead characters and introduce new versions of old favorites.

So, I enjoyed it. But it wasn't like, Firefly novels good.
