Publisher's Summary

A brand-new full-cast audiobook production of the classic collaboration from internationally best-selling authors Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett starring Rebecca Front as the Narrator, Michael Sheen as Aziraphale, and David Tennant as Crowley!

"Good Omens...is something like what would have happened if Thomas Pynchon, Tom Robbins and Don DeLillo had collaborated. Lots of literary inventiveness in the plotting and chunks of very good writing and characterization. It’s a wow. It would make one hell of a movie. Or a heavenly one. Take your pick." (Washington Post)

According to The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes NutterWitch (the world's only completely accurate book of prophecies, written in 1655, before she exploded), the world will end on a Saturday. Next Saturday, in fact. Just before dinner.

So the armies of Good and Evil are amassing, Atlantis is rising, frogs are falling, tempers are flaring. Everything appears to be going according to Divine Plan. Except a somewhat fussy angel and a fast-living demon - both of whom have lived amongst Earth's mortals since The Beginning and have grown rather fond of the lifestyle - are not actually looking forward to the coming Rapture.

And someone seems to have misplaced the Antichrist....

Don’t miss Season 2 of the Prime original series!

Theater for the end of the world
I love adaptations of origin stories. Time and time again, they rehash the events that first divided our minds into right and wrong. With each listen, we rediscover who we’ve become. Though Good Omens references Eden, fans of Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett know best: never trust a place to be exactly as it seems. This story asks why the end of the world would develop in a ''kids’ paradise,'' but no such place could survive to begin with. Surely the natural curiosity and boredom of children would always lead to an apple that ends it all. Kids love to ask ''why,'' and it would be a denial of our origins for adults to forget that we too learned to ask questions while growing up. As a child, I learned this lesson first through Gaiman’s Coraline, then The Graveyard Book, then The Ocean at the End of the Lane. Though I’ve revisited each of these stories, they’ve never failed to teach me something new. Expect to find fresh perspective in this full-cast recording, brought to life by David Tennant, Michael Sheen, and the many brilliant newcomers to the world of Good Omens. This listen delivers theater to your doorstep: a perfect gift for those of us missing live productions. —Haley H., Audible Editor

Spot on!

I had very high expectations for this audio performance, and I’m very glad to say that they were met (and then some)! I was very excited to see that both David Tennant and Michael Sheen returned in their roles as Crowley and Aziraphale, respectively, and gave a fantastic audio performance that shows off their chemistry as performers in both voice and film, and makes me eager to rewatch the show on Prime Video. I wholeheartedly recommend this to all fans of the full cast audio performances of Neil Gaiman’s works, and fans of Good Omens in general, whether they enjoy the book or the Prime original series.

You’ll hate that it’s over!

I loved this book, especially the full cast narration! I listened to it at work and couldn’t believe it was over already when the time came. It made me so sad, so I’m listening to it again! All of the characters carry a sort of charm about them and you find yourself faking in love with all of them. Some more than others, but still love them all.

Second Verse, better than the First!

I thoroughly enjoyed the first audio book of "Good Omens", and having watched the televised drama concerning the End of the World, it was wonderful to have this version with the actors for Crowley and Azriphale from the video series reprise their respective roles. A delightful experience and highly recommended for all fans.

Good "Good Omens"

Occasionally couldn't differentiate between Crawley and Aziraphale's dialog but an excellent story, and a well done presentation.

Loved it!!

I love David Tennant and Michael Sheen even more than I did before good omens and it’s so awesome just to hear them bring their characters to life again. They deliver the dialogue so great and just make me laugh. The story is so awesome to hear all over again.

A classic that continues to age pretty well, all things considered

Are there some lowkey racist phrasings? Yeah. Are Americans relentlessly mocked throughout? Yeah. Does the whole book laugh at Christianity and Christians? Yeah.

It’s still an amazing and fun book. I absolutely love the readers: David Tennant and Gabrielle Glaister especially really poured their all into it. Would definitely recommend!
