Sweet

Love a slow burn, but a hockey slow burn, single dad, nanny. It’s spicy. It’s funny. It’s emotional but not overly. Please give it a shot.

Narration Matters!!!!

S.J now why would you pick CJ Bloom to play a 25 year old??? She's an ok narrator but she sounds like she's in her 40's!!! Come on! She literally ruins the character Sunny is young vibrant and spunky.. the voice just sounds older.. Connor as always is a 10 star and he saved this book! Great storyline wrong choice for female narration

Great narration!

Two of my favorites behind the mic! Connor Crais is always an auto listen for me and he nailed the grumpy single dad with those perfectly delivered Russian lines. CJ Bloom, as always, brought the perfect balance of vulnerability and strength. Such an enjoyable listen!

Single dad romance plus hockey

What’s hotter than a single dad hockey player who will do anything for his daughter? Nothing! 🏒💖 The story hooked me from the start—protective dad, a sitter he can’t resist, and chemistry they just can’t fight.

But the real magic? The audiobook. 🎧 The narration brought so much heart, emotion, and spark to the story—it made me feel every moment. Pure gold!

This is my 1st book by author, S. J. Sylvis. From the cover, I thought the MMC would be really young -- a player in college or juniors maybe. So glad he isn't. Rhodes Volkova is 32 y/o, team captain, single dad to adorably sweet Ellie (5 y/o), Russian (speaks English except for curse words, endearments, & praise! 🔥🌶), & he falls hard for the new nanny, Sunny. I loved getting to know these characters & the sweet little family they make. Rhodes is patient & caring w/ Sunny as the mystery of her past trauma is gradually revealed & catches up w/ her in Chicago. I love the humorous banter & innuendo between Rhodes/Sunny & Rhodes/his teammates, and little Ellie is a pistol! The dual narration is performed by C.J. Bloom & Connor Crais (one of my favorite duos), & is absolutely perfect! They do a marvelous job of bringing all of the characters & action to life. Love the Russian accents. Love them both doing all of the roles -- male, female, child. The audio is a great listen & very enjoyable. (I listened twice, plus bought the ebook so I could see all of the Russian in print!) I loved this one so much, I went back to get book 1 and will be on the lookout for the rest of the Blue Devils series.
