Six weeks.
That's how long my editor gave me to change my book from a baseball romance to one about hockey. A complete rewrite. Which is how I find myself in Montana, a thousand miles from home, researching hockey, and preparing to meet a local expert.
There's one small problem.
Or rather a big one. A big, grumpy problem.
My expert is none other than Nick Galaxy—the single dad and hockey captain I ran into minutes after landing in Montana and made a… well, let's just say I didn't make the best first impression. Neither did he, for that matter.
Deciphering his grunts will be nearly as hard as rewriting the entire book.
No matter, I'm up for the challenge.
Oh, and there's one other teeny, tiny thing. Minuscule really.
He has no idea that his dad has volunteered him to help or offered to let me stay in his guest cabin.
Tropes: grumpy/sunshine, single dad, hockey, forced proximity, and found family.
Narrated in duet style by Ryan Lee Dunlap and Erin Mallon with full cast, Savannah Peachwood, Christian Fox, Austin Stone, Teddy Hamilton, and Jason Clarke.

I thought Ruby was such a likable and lovely character. I usually don’t like the clumsy FMC trope, but it was done so well here.
Nick was written so amazingly, I loved him. He was the perfect amount of grumpy, sweet, and pining after Ruby.
The two of them together were a match made in heaven. I loved how they supported one another, how they could read each other, and just how beautiful their love was.
I loved all the hockey moments we got. I thought it was a clever way to do a hockey romance.
I also loved how her writing and struggles were portrayed. Aidan was such a fun addition to their little twosome; he was definitely a teenage boy (hello, way too much body spray).
The supporting cast really rounded out and made this book for me. All the hockey boys were so fun to read about, and I loved that they each had their own narrator.
Having this story told as a full cast was so special and made this book that much more enjoyable. And the cameos we got from other Rebecca Jenshak characters? That was so fun.
It was spicy, funny, sweet, heartwarming, thoughtful, charming, and any other adjective you can think of.
I can’t wait to go back to Moonshot for Travis’ book!
