perfect love story

I greatly enjoyed this book, the story is sweet with a little angst, a little spice 1 🌶️ ,slow burn .

Such great characters

Loved this whole story. From the main characters meet cute with a name mix up putting her in the men’s dorm and him thinking she is another puck bunny. The story was great loved all the side characters as well and am looking forward to some of their stories as well. The narration was great as well.

I loved the storyline and the depth of their love. Vulnerability was definitely on point.

what a good listen. very catchy and funny spicy is rated a 2 out of 5 but a good read/listen and will be looking out for more like it.

I liked everything about the book except the vulgar language. The storyline was good. I enjoy sports books.

Claire Bryant’s first and last names get switched, placing her on the guys dorm floor in the athlete dorms. Theo realizes this might be a great way to keep the puck bunnies away while he is playing to get the attention of the NHL as a serious player. Claire and Theo’s roommate habits are on opposite sides of the spectrum but they do both respect each other as athletes. Their closeness leads to some quick thinking in the moment but then later needing to sell it as fake dating too.

For some reason I had convinced myself that this was a dark hockey romance. Jokes on me because it was quite romantic and not dark at all. I like Theo and Claire both getting to know, accept, and appreciate the other as they were forced to be roommates. Because of this over time, they were able to build a connection based on eventual friendship. I wish the fake dating had happened earlier in the story but it is also a favorite trope of mine.

This was my first audiobook from Sarah McEwan and Michael Gallagher. They were both able to deliver performances as the other characters as well as passing for college students.

Definitely recommend!

Although it was a slow build up, it’s worth sticking through it. Their growth and love for each other was so cute. Worth the listen.

Very enjoyable

I really enjoyed this audiobook. The narrators did a great job voicing these characters and I was totally engaged in the story. The characters were likable and I enjoyed how the relationship between Claire and Theo developed. There were also some surprises I didn’t see coming.
