All the stars! Javi’s narration was perfect!!

All the stars. Very sensitive topics, you will cry, you will be angry but you will also swoon, laugh, and fall in love with Max and Luke’s beautiful love story.
I wish I could write a full essay on how to convince everyone to read this but I’m still feeling a bit emotional.
I loved this story and I loved these characters as if they were part of my family.

This book!!

I want to give it more than 5 stars. The first book in this series was really good and my first book by JJ Mulder, but this book…. It’s beautiful and heartbreaking. I have cried both sad and happy tears, it’s not often you get both from one book. I’ve not even finished it, but I felt that I needed to take a moment and write a review. This is a book that deserves more than a quick 5 starts.. yet I really can’t put into words quite how I feel about it. I understand being hesitant regarding such a difficult topic as SA. I almost didn’t read it because I knew what it was about and I cannot watch movies with SA in them, but I read the reviews and decided to take a chance. The author did a wonderful job and I didn’t feel triggered from listening to the book which is the reason I cannot watch movies with any type of SA in them. Yes this book will break your heart and may make you cry, but Mulder does such a good job of also making the readers feel the strength and happiness of the MC’s.. all that I can say is that it just gives this book a beauty to it. If you are a survivor of SA, well, at least for me, although I did have anxiety listening to some of it…. Listening to the healing parts settled my stomach and made myself feel my own healing a bit and it felt comforting in a way because it’s something so buried in my head I rarely think about it. It makes me want to thank JJ Mulder for writing this book in the way in which she did… which honestly is an odd feeling, I’ve never felt the need to thank an author for writing a book that I’ve enjoyed. I guess when you read a book and it allows you to actually feel your own healing from past trauma, it just hits differently. I read a lot and I listen to a lot of audiobooks, but this one will stay with me. I’m so glad that I took a chance and bought it! Thank you JJ Mulder… what an incredible story and damn you did an incredible job telling it!

Incredible

This book was incredible. I wished I could reach into the story and hug Max. I wish this was talked about more. It’s important for everyone to have a voice. The author did an incredible job of writing this story. Giving Max a voice, and others in his situation. Luke was so sweet.

Absolutely adored 🥰

Max and Luke 🥹🥺 ugh their story was fun and sad at times. What I would give 🥺🥺🥺 I loved seeing Luke and Max’s relationship develop and Mac regaining his confidence and control. And Luke being Luke was what Max needed. I loved everything about them and I loved the Carter and Zeke cameo, so precious and glad to see Carter’s grumpy self - especially when it came to max as well. Their friendship is fun and I loved that they’re keeping in touch. I also loved seeing Max open up to his coach. It was nice seeing more of the relationship the coach has with his players. I cannot wait for the next book!

Great Story

The story was great, the main characters were very lovable. The best thing about this is the narration. Liam did good but Javi Wilder did phenomenal! He’s becoming one of my favorite male narrators.
