These Narrators are Amazing!

I read this book as a traveling book and I am so glad I listened to the audio at the same time. They made the book even better!

laugh out loud, mystery, and angst

loved the narrators and how different the voices were. they complemented each other so well.
this one brought be to tears at the end but was still extremely spicy. ka knights writing never disappoints.

Had a fun, good time listening to the banter

I had a fun time listening to the audiobook narration. Both voice actors were great at bringing emotion and intensity to their performance. The banter had me cackling. The comedic timing of the voice actors was done so well I was literally laughing out loud as I was listening.

I was so happy to catch up on the Pine Valley audiobooks now that 3 of them are out in the world! I am gearing up for book 4's release later this week so I am devouring the others ahead of time to get my head in the world. Boy has it been an epic rollercoaster but so worth it!

I loved these two when I read this back in 2024 and the audiobook made my MM loving heart so happy. I will say I wish the narrators swapped characters though. I always imagined Alec with the love voice and all gruff but the narrator who did Evan was more Alec-sounding if that makes sense. Don't get me wrong, I thought they did a phenomenal job. I felt all the emotion. I cried again with the big confrontation and consequences (again no spoilers) and that was horrible to have to deal with while driving haha. I fell for these characters before and this just cemented my love for them. Went right into book 2 though and they definitely dethroned these two (nothing against the OG couple but bones and Skylar are endgame <3

I absolutely devoured this author's first MM story and I cannot wait for her to do more of them in this new world she has created. From the cover, to the characters, to the amazing plot and crazy twists she threw in there....and it wouldn't be her story with funny moments and emotional draining and heart wrenching surprises/scenes that rip your heart out. You have been warned!

I really loved the dynamic between Alek and Evan! They were so fun and I loved seeing them fall in love, and all the push and pull they went through to finally become the amazing couple they are. I wanted to roll my eyes with them, swoon, cry for them. It was so well done, I didn't want the story to end because it was so good. Their steamy scenes was so yummy, I appreciated the mix of plot and steam, it was the perfect ratio for me. I loved the secret society, murder plots, twists and turns you don't see coming and some that will make you cry. I did have an inkling who the real baddie was pretty early on, but you have no clue how the story is going to get there and boy did the author throw curveball after curveball. Gripping, on the edge of your seat story that I needed to know how things happened/were resolved. She did a good job with throwing out some potential baddies to throw people off their trail haha.

The side characters were icing on the cake, I cannot wait for these couples to get their story in 2025! I thought the dynamics were amazing, the laughter was infectious (with the next couple up hehe) and I wanted to give other a hug and am interested to see how they handle their feelings. Some of the other side characters were perfect in their role. They were there to serve a purpose and weren't superfluous. I also really enjoyed the photography and car racing tinier subplots. The photos Evan took were described amazingly, loved the shoots he did with Alek haha. The car racing was fun and added some excitement.

I will say there were some flow and plot holes that took me out of the story a couple of times. I didn't round down because the rest of the story was incredible. I think one of the bigger ones was Alek was obsessed with the car and wouldn't let anyone in it, but when he and Evan do some *fun* stuff and made a mess if you catch my drift, he didn't care, comment, handle it. After the author made a point how precious his baby was haha. It was those kind of things that stood out that needing some more editing but not a huge deal in the overall rating.

This author did a great job doing her first MM romance justice and I can't wait to see where this takes her <3

💜Racing hearts was my second K.A. Knight book, and it did not disappoint!! The minute the audio turned on, I couldn't turn it off. I put all of my adult responsibilities to the side and devoured this book. The narration was absolutely phenomenal. Knowing this was Katie's first MM book impresses me even more because it was phenomenal!! The characters were amazing and well developed. The plot was phenomenal, and the twists and turns had me in the edge of my seat the entire book. Also, let's not forget about the spice because that was also 🥵. Alek & Evan now hold a giant place in my heart, and I'm unsure how Katie is going to top this couple for me because they were absolutely top-tier!! I can not wait for book 2 and the continuation of this series🖤
