confusing dialogue

it was confusing to listen to you going back and forth between the "traditional" and the " new view". you should have only written about the new way that you get works best. The narration was fine.

Stress Model

It’s an outstanding book for the desperate and the generalist. I had many a-ha’s and had to trust the ones I thought a little out there. It has some quotes and summary remarks about God took me out of the otherwise solid sounding approach. I can’t wait to reread b/c concepts are not how I was raised. Very worthwhile. I think I’d rather Heather or another woman just b/c I’m so stressed out and felt the reading was a little lecturing.

Amazing!

I love this book! I love the examples of traditional views next to the new view. I was able to see from my own childhood the times my parents had used traditional parenting and remember feeling more out of control. I have been using the new ways with my daughter and they have been working amazingly well. She feels better, I feel better!

One AHA moment after another.

Heather explained why everything we were doing "for" our son wasn't working. We were actually doing it TO him. We have fully embraced your practice and are seeing good results.

I wish there were more examples. Quite honestly, they help to prepare yourself for your next "challenge". Working through it ahead of time has been helpful to stay calm and connected.

Very good book

Very helpful book. A bit dry at parts, but overall interesting and logical ideas. We're about to adopt and I believe this will help us a ton.
