Publisher's Summary

Sir Hilt is forced to delay an urgent mission when he sees a lone woman climbing a dangerous mountain. She refuses his help but when Hilt discovers that the prophet was the one that told her to climb to the mountain's peak, he realizes that it is his duty to accompany her. What dangers lie in their way? What reasons did the prophet have for bringing them together? Will all their plans be derailed by Hilt's Pride?

The events in Hilt's Pride take place just after Hilt leaves Justan at the Training School part way through Bowl of Souls: Book One. The action herein sets up crucial events in books four and five. However, this is a standalone story and can be listened to apart from or along with the rest of the series. This story contains no spoilers to the rest of the series, but contains a lot of information that enhances the backgrounds of several characters including revealing previously untold information about Jhonate's past and the history of her people.

A very good short story

You shouldn't skip this one. It contains a lot of interesting information, and is quite entertaining. :) The price is a bit high though.

Cooley is my favorite writer...

I read 100+ novels a year and Trevor is my favorite. Every single book delivers a classic fantasy adventure without a bunch of needless curse words and just enough sexuality to remind us that we are human.... Fantastic job Trevor. Thank you for introducing such awesome personalities into my life throughout this entire series. Time to start the next book!

This book is a fabulous tangent for the Bowl of Souls series. It provides awesome context and will give you a bigger love for Hilt and Beth. Definitely recommend!!

Great bit of extra information

Any additional comments?

You don't necessarily need this book to continue the series, but it does give you a great deal of insight and history of the events the previous books weren't able to go over. <br/> If you really enjoy the series, then I strongly recommend getting your hands on this book!

Hilt's Pride

An enjoyable addition diversion from the Bowl of Souls
They reader / actor does a very enjoyable interpretation on the book
But it is still a diversion and has very little to do with the series at this point

Arg!! I didn't want it to end!

Beautifully written. The author really knows how to paint an amazing story. I can't wait to start The War of Stardeon.

I wish it was a longer book

I am not one for listening or reading novellas but I'm so glad I got this one I love everything about Trevor Cooleys world he has created and how he makes all the characters important. I want to know more about all of them . I want to be there with them and chill by the camp fire with them because Trevor makes it seem like so much fun. Thank you for writing this series it is so much fun
