Holly Danger's current assignment, gleaned from a set of foggy instructions and a handful of coin stuffed into a slot, is to pick up a street kid who's about to terminate himself off a cliff. And, as a rule, she doesn't turn down currency. Her job as a salvager keeps her fed and clothed above the norm, which isn't saying much. This is the box set of the Sean Kruger series, books 1 through 3: The Fugitive's Trail; The Assassin's Trail; and The Imposter's Trail.

Before Ingrid can get her to safety, Phoebe is kidnapped and tossed into one of the Nine Worlds, where she's forced to come to terms with what she is: a Valkyrie.

Those lovely beasts derive their power directly from their mistress and just happen to kill any who cross their paths. To get there, you first must pass through the Dragon's Ground. Full of, you guessed it, dragons who for the record, also do not like trespassers. Sounds like a fun place to go, doesn't it? Yeah, not so much.

I had never heard of Holly Danger, but I saw the book and took a shot. I didn't know it was book 4 in a series, and that is ok. I got to know the characters pretty quickly, and it seemed like this book transitioned right from the last one. (I'll have to get the first 3 to see if what I suspect is true.
Anyway, the book is fast paced and full of surprises. I particularly liked Daze. The book centers on the search for a cure, and how the team is put upon by a ?black ops team. One of those covert operative type bad guys. The interplay between the teams is exciting and fun. I really wish I had read the prior books, as it feels like there are some plot points that are revealed after having been building for some time. Emma Wilder is great, and she takes you right into the action. 5 Stars all around.

Every book Holly continues to amaze, I can't wait for the next book.
I received this book in exchange for a honest review.
This is my favourite in the series so far! The crew are starting to get answers and make progress! Holly is still in major denial over Case though! Speaking of whom, I'm glad he finally opened up to the group and shared his past & knowledge. Can't wait for the next book!!!
As I’ve always said when it comes to this series/author/narrator, I love it/her/her. This series just gets better and better, and I can't wait to find out what's going to happen in book 5. I’m curious to see if Holly and Case ever end up in a romantic relationship. I know that’s stereotypical of lead female and male characters, but I think they’d make a great power couple. I also like seeing how Maisie is learning from the others. As usual, Amanda Carlson and with some help from Emma Wilder (narrator) these ladies do an amazing job bringing these characters to life.
I'm loving this series, and I'm going to assume you are too or you wouldn't be looking at book 4 (just in case you're new to this series, this is a series that has to be read in order, one book leads into the next).
This book picks up right after Danger's Race finished, we get to learn a lot about what's going on with the people who are leading (and trying to lead) the remnants of society. I loved getting to learn more about Case, he's been such a mystery, and Daze was somehow able to worm his way further into my heart, his bond with Holly keeps growing and it really makes the group seem more like a family.
Oh, and there's lots of action, but that should come as no surprise!
The narration is excellent, beautiful character voices and a well paced emotive delivery.
I received a free copy of this book from the author and/or narrator and/or publisher and I voluntarily wrote this honest review.

Typically I stay as far away as possible from sci-fi books as possible but I was drawn into this book! I totally enjoyed listening to this story and was hooked from the very beginning. Typically I listen to romance and some some action adventure. I was greatly impressed by this author's writing style and thought the narrator kept me gripped in the story. i requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. This is a standalone listen and part of a series.
I love this story line. This version of the future is believable and well detailed. The story is interesting and fast paced. There's lots of action, great team dynamic, and the strong female lead is a treat. Also, the series is appropriate for young adults as there is no sex.
Amanda's fourth installment in the Holly Danger series leaves little to be desired. The book draws you in, while seamlessly continuing the story of Holly, Case, Daze, Lockland, Darby, Bender and Maisie. Picking up where book three ends, Holly and 'Bender's Crew' work to find a cure for Mary, and the other seekers in the city.
The story is paced just right, not too fast or too slow, and I couldn't put the book down. I give the book a solid 5 stars. I look forward to see what happens next, and how Holly and the rest of the characters fare in the meantime.
Great narrator. If you like sci-fi then this is def the book for you. Kind of reminded me of Firefly. Would def listen to more by this author!
I love everything about these books, so much fun! the writing was great, the narration was very enjoyable, and I love the characters! I can't get enough and I can't wait to find out what happens next. I want Holly and Case to get together so bad! yes I would recommend this book!
