Continue Online… YES PLEASE

The first book in the series was proof that Stephan Morse is a first rate author that can relate a story with the best of them. This second volume backs up that claim with mounting evidence. This second story can be read as a standalone however there is much back story you would be missing that would greatly increase the pleasure of this immersive experience.

Stephan Morse has created a world not to far in our future that appears to have a lot of features I would like to see. He has taken the RPG game to new levels and is addressing many of the issues and repercussions of that expansion. This is a thought provoking story that will fully immerse you in his world so you can relate and deal with the issues that follow. There are several plot lines developing and I am sure the third novel will be explosive… as any good RPG should be.

Pavi Proczko does a good job in this edition and really merges well with the story

Different than the normal litres books.

This book is a great second book, with the characters becoming more life like. The narrator is awesome, and the story is fully rounded. Makes you wish we had that tech now. I received this audio book for free at my request and voluntarily reviewed.

One of the better LitRPG books I have listened to!

This story is one of the better LitRPG books I have read / listened to. Like all in this genre there are some issues, but they are pretty minor. I am happy that in this series the second book actually has its own story arc while still continuing the overall series arc. Pavi Proczko does an excellent job narrating and bringing characters to life! I am looking forward to book 3!

as always Exquisite book

it's like a fuse Slow Burn it takes a while but in the end the story off this series is one that is sure to enthrall people if you like video games and fantasy it forces you to think how about your existence in reality well also allowing some humor so things don't get too dark it shows the depths of despair and the triumphs of a human soul after the loss of a loved one and the rediscovery of possibility cannot wait until the next book is out on audio download.

Despite minor flaws, the execution was enjoyable

the first half of the audiobook did well to bring closure on the previous book while continuing the plot. Throughout, the second installment maintained the same quality of character development, and more characters were introduced which contributed to the story overall. The second half lagged in it's ability to retain the reader's interest, at least initially, but by the novel's conclusion, I was left satisfied and looking forward to the next installment. I believe this work to be very much worth an audible Credit.

pure literary RPG fans stay away

the first book in the series is quite good. this book however seems to have a very confusing and very convoluted plot line. I was hoping that they had worked through most of the weirdness in the first book to give us a pure literary RPG experience. but I was wrong most of the book spends all its time looking Within and giving the literary runaround on the story. too much looking in not enough progression of the story, and too much time spent fiddling around with characters that you don't care about. if you like deep roundabout stories that don't ever get to the point and introduce a new characters and other people without giving them adequate backstory or detail this is the story for you.

Its so much more... Whiny than the first one

I loved the first book.. This one was so so... I found the protagonist much less likeable and way too much of the book is his internal conflict. The climax of the story is 10 minutes too long just because we have to hear him whine about how he's so conflicted... I fast forwarded a lot! Plus, his motivations are extremely thin.

That being said, it's decent. If this were the end of the story I'd return this one.

Narration is solid as always.

As Good or Even Better than the First

This series remains my favourite audiobook series. The story is as gripping as the first. The development was good as Grant comes to grips with how far he would go to reclaim his love. I can't imagine any other narrator than Pavi as Grant. Can't wait for the next book to be released on Audible!

wouldve given 2 stars but it was overall alright

these repetitve sob story is annoying me rather than allowing me to sympathize with the protagonist. especially in my case, where i listened to book 1 and 2 in one hit.

once again the book starts off slow but kept my interest. only down side is there was no moments in the book that made an impact or draws the listeners back. its judt a linear story you listen to only if you want to. not because you cant help but press that play button to see what happens next.

overall it was another interesting addition to grant leggets adventures.
