A fun little freebie from the author / publisher

A short story set at Dorian's home. Ashaya is baking Christmas goodies with Keenan and Dorian when visitors come calling. Holiday merriment ensues. No real plot and nothing very meaningful is said, but nonetheless the camaraderie is delightful, as always.

Thank you for the gift!

(Admittedly, I opened it long before Christmas.)

A peek inside Dorian/ Ashaya house.

A nice 20 minute teaser to get me in the mood for more from the Psy-Changling world that is coming out next week. Thanks audible for the freebie.

❤ this

Absolutely loved seeing the two most emotionally-damaged cats in love with their mates and at leisure with their kids. All fought through some hard battles and to see them all at ease and florishing warmed my heart.

Too short

A 15 minute story leaves you wanting more. This should be bundled with a couple more but cute glimpse at changling Home life

Pure fluff

I haven't read the series, but I picked up this free audiobook. It's pure fluff, which was enjoyable from the start and exactly what I was hoping for. I was a little iffy about the narrator though. She speaks very quickly.

A Sweet Chuckle and Smile

Any additional comments?

This short 19 minute novella was a quick update on Dorian, Clay and their families in Dorian's Kitchen. It was a giggle worthy and fun.The book was free at the time of purchase. I found the narration was a little fast and if I was on my phone I could have slowed it down, but that is the reason I gave the narrator a 4 instead of a 5. I'll keep this for the next time I listen to the series.

Christmas Fun with a Leopard

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I love these little shorts from Nalini Singh that gives us a view into every day life of our favorite Psy-Changling characters. Christmas in the Kitchen did not disappoint. Dorian and Shaya are two of my favorites and this story was fun and sweet. Angela Dawe was a great narrator that brought the story to life.

Heartwarming Holiday Vignette

A fun follow-up vignette with Dorian, Keenan, and Ashayla enjoying family time in their kitchen baking for Christmas with visits from others in the pack. It was a sweet and fun family moment in the midst of all the excitement in the psy-changling world.

This one fits in right after Blaze of Memory.

I experienced it in audio format (the audio is free) and I enjoyed Angela Dawe's narration work doing all the voices and keeping the whimsical tone of the story.

fun slice of life incident

Nalini Singh gifts her series readers with these fun little slice of life incidents. Read the story in newsletter and/or on Singh web site and enjoyed hearing audio.
Interesting to see characters in everyday situations away from the stresses of intrigues and battles. Helps give more depth to the characters and the worlds they live in whether it be Psy-Changeling world or world of the Guild Hunter and her Archangel. Reminder that everyday life goes on. Cooking, cleaning, going to the grocery store, etc. are fun to read about in these short gifts and help connect the characters between novels.

What?

What did I just listen to? Why would anyone take the time to write something like this? This is utter nonsense.

Awful narration

The story's alright - not fantastic, not terrible - but the narration is truly awful. I had to turn the volume up to be able to hear the dialogue which is recorded at much loerr level than the almost shouty main narration. The narrator rrads too fsst and her intonation feels rrally unnatural. Ruined the story for me

Lots of characters

First Psi book I've heard although I have read them all non have been available in the UK on Audible. I loved it although only a short book and free (thank you) this was an excellent book to start with. The narrator was fabulous so many different voices as it was filled with so many of the characters and she was great really brought the story to life. I would buy the entire series if it was available.

Interesting, but not what I was expecting

I don't remember why I downloaded this short story, as it was some time ago (last Christmas or the one before) and I had no idea what it was about or what the author writes.

I only listened to this because I'm between books and it was on my unlistened to list and short, I'm pleasantly surprised and will be looking at more books in the series, partly because I'm confused as to the characters (and the cat thing) but also because I enjoyed it. Not badly written and a good narration...

I hope I won't be disappointed by the other books
