Publisher's Summary

Mechanic Mercy Thompson has friends in low places - and in dark ones. And now she owes one of them a favor. Since she can shapeshift at will, she agrees to act as some extra muscle when her vampire friend Stefan goes to deliver a message to another of his kind. But this new vampire is hardly ordinary - and neither is the demon inside of him.

Have Mercy: listen to another Mercy Thompson chiller.

    "More rompping and less playing"
Would you consider the audio edition of Blood Bound: Mercy Thompson, Book 2 to be better than the print version?

No they are both ranked the same. The narrator is great!

What other book might you compare Blood Bound: Mercy Thompson, Book 2 to and why?

It is the same genre as the God Save the Queen series, both pretty lighthearted, an easy read and fun.

Which character – as performed by Lorelei King – was your favorite?

She is really terrific as a reader she manages to make each character distinct.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

    A Romp rolling good time

    "not a fan..."

uh, yea this is way too PG / romantic for me. I expected a badass skinwalker she-killer, instead i got a mild mannered, sarcastic heroine. can't love 'em all!

    "Great book with more Stefan!"

I enjoy this series and really liked this book. This story line includes more of Stefan. I liked Stefan in the previous book and wished to hear more about him. We get that plus the ongoing Mercy/Adam/Samual triangle story line. Also, we get to find out more about what Mercy can do other than just shifting to a Coyote. Great book. I'd recommend it.

    "Didn't want to stop driving..."

This was my second book in the Mercy Thompson series and I was not disappointed in the least with it. There's a new vampire in town and he's brought a demon with him. The plot involves both the local wolf pack and the vampire seethe, even getting some of the fae involved. But it is Mercy's ability to speak to ghosts that is in high demand. We find Mercy tracking a demon/vampire who brutally killed others and even though she was scared she didn't let that stop her from fighting, I found myself holding my breath along with her as she went into each scary situation and eventually she saves the day and her friends. I loved the story, love the series and as I am writing this am downloading book 3 in the series, Iron Kissed. Lorelei King is once again an amazing narrator

    "Thank you "Vivian""

I just read the review from Vivian who complained there wasn't any swearing and sex never got past first base. That this is a 4+ star book without garbage "is" the reason I downloaded this and will now listen to it. I love great stories without having to flinch because of coarse and crude expressions that add nothing to the work except to irritate the inner senses. I hope it is as good as Vivian says! Love to get into new series and authors.

"Very good listen...if not a tad overly PG"

While I really enjoyed this book and the first in the series; however, it loses a star for me because the writer goes very far out of her way to never to use swear words and her characters never get further than 1st base despite everyone being very attractive, available, and interested in one another. It is too PG and too squiky clean, making the protagonist not human in ways other than being a supernatural being! It is the opposite of HBO or Showtime, where swearing and sex are gratuitous. This is a gratuitous lack of sex or swearing, to the point of being irritating. With this said I will listen to next in the series, but will have to steal myself against vicarious repression of animal insticts. It is like the Twilight series in this regard....but those are supposed to books for young teens. Is this?

A fantastic second installment. They just keep getting better. Lorelei King does a great job narrating. I love the different character voices she does. I'm looking forward to the next story and her great narration skills.
