A strong hero but a frustrating heroine...........

Rustled is a highly sexual romance with a unique twist. Charity Green is running from her father's religious cult after being promised as the fourth sister wife to an 84 year-old man when her car crashes in a winter storm in rural Wyoming. After falling into a hypothermia-induced sleep, she awakens to find herself naked in bed with a naked man, one Russell White. Thus begins the long and somewhat angst filled romance between these two polar opposite personalities. Russ is a strong, mature, level-headed man in sharp contrast to Charity's rebellious, immature, and often irrational ways. I know that she had a strange and troubled upbringing, but I still found her antics highly frustrating at times. I liked Russ from the very beginning, and he had an amazing patience with and deep love for Charity that I found baffling but endearing. The book has more sex scenes than this author's other works, but she definitely knows how to write quality erotica. The book has a mild D/s, D/d theme, but it is not the focus of the book and shouldn't dissuade opponents of that type of romance from listening to the book. James Cramer's narration is very enjoyable, and I especially liked his voice for Russ. I am not certain why the author chose to use a male narrator when the entire story is told from Charity's point of view, but Cramer handled the female characters well, too. Other than a few mispronounced words, his performance was very smooth, and he added passion to any already steamy listen. I received a copy of this audiobook at my request in exchange for this honest review.

Pretty good

The story was pretty good. It seemed to drag in spots but overall, it was still a great read. Although the narrator's voice was pleasant and did a great job, This book clearly needed to be a female narrator or at the very least a duet. Don't get me wrong, I would definitely listen to another one of Jame's reads because I found his voice soothing and sexy with the male narrative. I received this audiobook for free in exchange for an honest review.

Heartfelt!

This is a subject that is sometimes ignored. The religious groups that take more than one wife. The story was so well told, I loved every minute of it! James Cramer did a good job narrating it.

An original tale

I enjoy Nikki Sex books. She writes hot, steamy and twisted stories. In most of her stories, Andre is a counselor helping others rekindle a flame, or find love. In this book, he is helping Sofia uncover a sex traffic ring. Knowing this was based on some facts made this book so real. I was happy Andre finally found his forever. He has helped so many others. But to get there was the fun. This story is filled with twists and turns. But as Nikki's books are, it is on fire. Guillaume Dubois narrates this story. I swoon over his accent for Andre. But that same accent is not detectable when he narrates other characters. I enjoy his female voice. It is smooth and easy to listen too. He brings out the best of Sofia in this book. Mr. Dubois certainly can help turn up the suspense and heat. I loved this narration,

Smoking Hot

This is a new to me Author and Narrator. It took me a few chapters to warm up to the narrator's female character voice. I do think this book would have been better with dual narration since the male narrator does have a very deep voice. The story progresses well, with very hot sex throughout. An overall enjoyable listen.

Interesting Idea for a Storyline

Charity slides off the road during a blizzard, running from a polygamist sect. She blacks out and awakes in a cabin with a man named Russ who saved her. They were naked in bed, causing her fear until she understands it was to avoid hypothermia...at least at first. Having learned not to trust Charity questions all that Russ says and does, until she decides to use sex to manipulate him...well this backfires. The story is from Charities POV..which was a lot like whiplash...one moment she was ignorant as you would expect from someone who spent time in a religious sect..then she would act like a 20 year old, then she would ask questions or talk as if she were an intelligent adult. I couldn’t get a grip on who she was, and actually didn’t care much for her. Russ was controlling and actually his back story is unusual, and I could not get a handle on why in the world he would fall for her. The narrator had a perfect voice for Russ, but terrible for Charity...added to my distaste for Charity. U sure why a story that was rom a female POV was all done by a male. would love a story from him that is a male POV... Feel bad that I felt this way about the story, I’ve read/listened to other Natasha Stories’ books and really liked them, just not this time. Eh

Too much was happening in this story. The author did not seem to have a clear story line and instead jumped all over the place. There were plot holes and god awful pet names. Not a story I am likely to listen to again. I provided this review in exchange for a complimentary copy of the audiobook from the author, narrator, or publisher

Good Listen

Charity is on the run because she refuses to live how her father's church wants. She is rescued by Ross who has a past with the same church. Good romance. Good Narration. I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator.

Love at first sight??

I enjoyed reading this book even thou I’m not sure about the ending. James Cramer is a great narrator but I’m not too sure About the girl part. It’s just a little different for me and this is the first time I’ve listen to him.

A lot of whining

I felt this book could have been good if the Mc wasn't so needy and whiny. The guy was controlling. Sex scenes were good. Had a hard time following the rest of the book though. Narration was good.
