I. LOVED. This. Book. This steamy, sweet, and deeply resonating romance is absolutely marvelous. Ms. Burke expertly builds sizzling sexual chemistry; with every fleeting touch and every searing stare Shane Davis and Angela Neil set Skin Deep on fire. Shane is a Nascar race driver who is now a recluse thanks to burns he suffered during a race gone bad. Angela Neil is an actress who is referred by Shane's personal assistant to play the role of Shane's girlfriend. Angela is a struggling actress who is having difficulty paying for her father's nursing home care, and, therefore, needs the money Shane is offering to play his faux girlfriend very badly. Shane feels he needs to carry off this charade to put his friends and parents at ease regarding his recovery, but what Shane doesn't expect is to fall for the beautiful Angela. Shane and Angela are immediately and inexplicably drawn to each other. Angels finds Shane dazzlingly handsome--- and so did I! The burns only added to the mystery and hypnotic appeal of the gorgeous Shane. I felt like their attraction was a living, breathing third member of this romance! It's that real and powerful. This couple doesn't actually have sex until the second half of the book, but it's well worth the wait! The first time they nearly do the deed is ridiculously sexy! I loved this couple's story. This is--- by far--- my favorite Dez Burke romance!

And Muffy Newtown did an AMAZING job narrating this story. I'm looking forward to hearing her voice paired with more Dez Burke books in the future!

Whether reading it or listening to it I love this book

I'm not sure what it is about this book but I just really really enjoyed it. I originally got it this throughKindle not realizing that I get a discount on my audible so I got both.
This book is very good I truly enjoyed the plot and the characters. The fact that it's an interracial romance makes it even better for me.
I wrote most of my review after reading it through Kindle the only thing I really have to add is that the author means to truly understand southern colloquialisms. No self respecting southerner would call a the parents of a perspective boyfriend by her first name nor would she ever stay in the same room with him when visiting the parents just saying.....

I loved the development of the characters in this book and the ending. Keep writing books like this Dez.

Great Listen!!

The narrator for this story was spot on! She was able to master both the male and female voices. She really put on a performance VS. just reading the book. Shane and Angela were both immediately drawn to each other. The only problem was that neither of them knew it. Great Character development. The story flowed smooth and effortlessly.
