Good magic and romance!

Heard about this book from tik tok. Really enjoyed it. Good narration and well written!

So-So

The story had a really interesting premise and magic system.

However the world building was flimsy, the characters were childish, and the relationships were instant and not developed. Overwrought language seems to be substituted for actual emotions, made it hard connect to the characters.

I struggled with the FMC because she is so passive and indecisive both in her magic and her role, she always is bemoaning what she wants to do but she never takes initiative until forced. I don't think she makes any decision unless someone has made it first.

It wasn't bad, but it wasn't fully formed. It could have benefitted from some refining.

IMO Best book of the year! Slow burn and so sweet, I loved the magic system.
