Best Yet

Ilona Andrews is the absolute best at character development. I love how the books, especially this one, tell the story of how people grow and develop. Ada starts out as a suburban wife and mother and grows into a force of nature. Now, however, I must content myself with listening to this well-performed book until the sequel is released. Sigh. Life can be so hard sometimes.

Great story, detail, characters, and magic system. Another great book. Cant wait for the sequel.

It was Amazing!

I have read and reread this book many times and the audio just brings it all together. Absolutely loved this book!

Fantastic story!

Initially I was a little put off as the narrators sounded a little robotic when reading the letters from the authors. Once the stories began they were fantastic.

Great world building as I have come to expect, and I stayed up late as I couldn’t stop listening. I really want the next part of the story now! Also curious to discover how intertwined this story will be with the Innkeeper Chronicles. Highly recommend.

Didn't start out like other writing,

This book had me hooked, fun and refreshing yet has some familiarty that was comforting. Audio was great with convincing dual narration. Literally can't wait for more, I need more lol.

Illona Andrews world and character building is amazing as always. I hope we get a book 2 in the near future.

I liked the crossover from the Innkeeper series and Kate Daniels series. The main character is solid and consistent.
