Love this even more in Audio

Nash is a single father that is giving his all to his young son Philip, at the expense of his creative destiny and relationships with others. Tempest needs a new place to live and ends up renting a room from Nash so they are both able to make their bills. Neither of them expected that their new housemate would actually be so much more for both of them. Listen (or read) as both Tempest and Nash learn how to expand their lives to include each other.

Thank you Melissa

True Love

Whisper of Love (The Bradens at Peaceful Harbor, MD #5) by Melissa Foster

I received an audio ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I love audio books and B.J. Harrison is one of my favorite narrators. He continually does an exceptional job of breathing life into Melissa Foster's unforgettable characters, putting you in the middle of the story with his ability.

One of my favorite tropes is single brooding dad who willingly sacrifices for his child. Nash is drool worthy and no one does it better than Melissa Foster.

Nash Morgan is a hot, brooding and completely devoted single dad to his adorable three-year-old son Phillip. He's cautious and careful, putting his son's well-being above all else, even putting his successful sculpting career on hold. Nash is no stranger to tragedy and he makes Phillip the center of his universe. He is a tortured soul who guards his heart. Watching the two of them go about their daily routine melts your heart. Nash is openly affectionate with Phillip and nothing is sweeter, always wanting Phillip to feel loved and secure. Nash decides to rent a room out for extra income and he's extremely careful about who he's bringing into their home and into their lives.

Enter Tempest "Tempe" Braden. Beautiful, sweet, sexy and completely genuine, Tempest is a music therapist who moved to Pleasant Hill to grow her business and rents the room Nash has advertised. Tempe is open and so easy to be around that she helps open Nash's eyes to some things Phillip might be missing out on.

I love that while hard for Nash to hear that Phillip might have needs that weren't being met, he never was resentful, but considered all that Tempe suggested and as always, put Phillip's needs first, and in the process opened himself up to a world of possibilities.

There are so many things I loved, loved, loved about this book. Tempest is the perfect woman for Nash and mother for Phillip. Phillip made me want another child. He's sweet, lovable and a mini version of Nash in all the best ways. And Nash? He was the perfect tortured artist yearning for love! Melissa Foster weaves a magic thread throughout the story, making you laugh, cry and hope as you're witness to a family being born.

Loved it!

Whisper of Love is the fifth book in the The Bradens at Peaceful Harbor series. This can be read as a standalone. Moving from Peaceful Harbor to Pleasant Hill because of better possibilities, Tempest rents a room from the closed off single father, Nash. She is so excited about the possibilities for her here. Nash never expected to be raising a child alone. He moves them to this farm with the single goal of raising Phillip right. The sparks fly from the moment Tempest and Nash meet. She brings life into their world. Will this become a perfect family? I really enjoyed this story, and the narrator is great. I definitely recommend it.

Soul mates!

I have been listening to Melissa’s audio books after reading the print version when they were first released. I loved it as much or more this time!

Prior to the release of this book, I had looked forward to Tempe’s story after getting to know her in the previous Peaceful Harbor books. Nash and his son Phillip are super sweet, but very used to being on their own. Tempe has moved away from home and needs a quiet place to work on her music and growing her business. Nash has a room for rent and it turns out to be a great fit for Tempe. Not only the room, but the bond with Nash and Phillip as well. Nash and Tempe have so much in common including their love of music and love of family. This is yet another well-written, engaging book by Melissa Foster!

A wonderful story brought to life

BJ Harrison did a great job bringing this story to life. Who doesn’t love a man that is totally immersed in his child… Nash Morgan is trying to raise a son on his own and when he needs to rent out a room to make a little extra cash, he isn’t prepared for all that Tempest Braden will bring to his and Phillip’s life. Tempest forces him to let go a little for his sake and that of his son. And Tempest gets just as much out of the relationship. Tempest has left her family (although she didn’t go far and is never out of range of other Bradens) to try to jump start her business. Helping (and loving) Nash and Phillip is just what she needs as well. It is a beautiful story of loving people coming together and opening their hearts to possibilities. Listening to their story was a great way to spend a cold afternoon in front of the fire!

That Braden Heart of Gold

How do you NOT fall in love with this couple!?!? Then, let's add in BJ Harrison's narration and inflections and feelings...WOW, such an amazing story...and great job by Melissa and BJ!!

Tempest Braden has a heart just like all the other Braden's...a heart of Gold. And Nash was soon to realize this fact. She started by renting a room from him, but in turn, invaded his life and turned it upside down.

Nash lived for his son after quite a few years running from his feelings and the life he had and his parents tried to set for him after their lives changed drastically. His son, Phillip, was the only and most important person in his life now and no one was going to mess with that. Then enter Tempest. She tested him , even if only to help him realize the things he wasn't giving to his son. In the process, she was giving her heart over to these 2 new men in her life, not realizing how they were helping her as well.

She knew she wanted some stability and focus in her life but little did she know, when she answered the add to rent a room, was she giving herself the answers she was so desperately looking for.

Melissa's Books Never Disappoint!

Whisper of Love quickly became one of my favorite books by author Melissa Foster.

Tempest has made appearances in other books by Melissa, so I definitely been anticipating her story. She is such an intriguing character, so warm, caring, and enciteful, that you cannot help but love her and want to know more about her!

She moves into a spare room in Nash's home and is instantly taken with Nash and his young son, Phillip. The two of them have a bond like no other, but Tempest causes them to make changes that has them coming out of their shells

This book was such a cute story. I loved getting to know both characters, and watching them connect on an extremely deep level first made their love for one another even more special. Well done, Melissa!

I LOVE the narrator. He has done all of Melissa's books, and I am a huge fan. Even doing the female voices, he really does a great job of bringing you right into the story, portraying each character so well, and making you want to listen all the way through. What a fun audio book! <3

Enjoyed...except..

I really enjoyed reading a book very little angst in it. It was a really nice change. This was a good love story with characters you could fairly real. My problem was that while I LOVE when a man reads a romance novel, BJ Harrison’s voice is awful and for me, it ruined the story. Melissa Foster is new to me and I’m hoping she’s not a “one narrator” kind of author so that I will be able to read some of her other books.
