not worth the trouble

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

luckily I am driving while listening to my audio books or I would have said totally wasted my time. Saw too many similarities story line as the 50 shades books.

Would you ever listen to anything by Kristin Mayer again?

will listen to the other 2 in the series and hope for better.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Nelson Hobbs and Shirl Rae ?

the narrators had no emotion put nothing into this to enhance the story. Mickey and Minnie would have done a better job.

Could you see Trust Me being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

never

SWEET & ROMANTIC UNTIL DANGER FROM THE PAST KNOCKS

I'm not a fan of the 'instant' in a romance book and, as the mixed up and still grieving Allison accidentally meets a handsome, kind, thoughtful and caring Damien it's instant attraction, followed closely by lust, sex and love which was all very touching and cute. But as the story develops so too does the mystery, suspense, intrigue and danger. Damien is haunted by an unresolved tragic event in his past which makes him cold, emotionless and snappy to others but with Allison it comes out as possessive and an over-the-top caring for her happiness and welfare and later we're given the heartbreaking reason why he's so protective over her.

At first the Heroine comes across as a little too young, sickly sweet and naive however the unfolding psychological drama (together with a six-pack wielding, handsome, rich, Alpha Hero) makes up for it. A mixed bag of secondary characters and somewhere in amongst them is a delusional murderer, the sex scenes were romantic, there was a lot of character and plot development and the love story was sometimes challenged but remained sweet.

However, although the romance didn't have a cliffhanger.... the Epilogue certainly did which suggests things aren't going to be the HEA for the H/H after all. Narration was ok but, IMHO, Allison's voice sounded a bit too young.

Worth a credit? It was a lukewarm listen to begin with but the romance, plot twists, questions and action soon kicked in so YES creditworthy and I need to know just who the villain in the story is so I guess I'll be using another credit to find out.

REALLY ENJOYED THIS ONE

Any additional comments?

This is a really good story with all the right ingredients. Love, sex, tragedy and drama. Perfect hero with a heroine that is not the typical "I'm not good enough" attitude. While she has personal fears they do not prevent the couple from being together. Good story and performance that I will definitely listen to again.

meh

a lot of time jumping. I found myself saying "well, that kind of person would never do that, but okay....." Book didn't really keep my interest.
Also this book isn't the complete story. It's to be continued in the next book.

Such an amazing love story!

Amazing things can happen when you decide to find yourself. In this case, Allison found the love of her life and it makes you want to believe in love at first sight. Their relationship is put through the ringer at every turn and they always come out on the other side stronger. It ends on a HUGE cliffhanger and I couldn't be happier that the entire series is out so I can continue on and find out who the mystery person is!

I listened to the audio version and it was all encompassing. Shirl Rae did an outstanding job. I couldn't tear myself away. Her voice is hypnotic and all I wanted to do was listen all day long!

3.5 Stars

Narrator - great narration
Story - Instant love. Billionaire story.
Hero - Rich. Overly Protective. Jealous/possessive.
Heroine - Virgin. No living family. Young but not too immature.

Overall a good story. Nothing too exciting, but had a lot of things I liked about it. The hero was over protective and I like how the heroine would reasonably confront him and asked for better communication. I’m not sure why it wasn’t as exciting as I hoped for...nothing to really pinpoint.

Not my favorite

I really struggled with this book. Alli was a whiney, juvenile brat. one moment she's closed off and the next she's in love? She's very needy for a closed off person. Her thoughts were childish and their conversations went from juvenile to controlling. Not my favorite book. The narration was awful. She was so whiney!

Loved it, worth the credit

Would you consider the audio edition of Trust Me to be better than the print version?

I just have the audio version

Who was your favorite character and why?

Damien
Because of all his money, he is so loveable and down to earth, a caring and Loving person and very generous to Alley

What does Nelson Hobbs and Shirl Rae bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Don't understand that ??????

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

yes, but I listened to it in two sittings

Any additional comments?

Be sure to get all three series
