The Spark of an Old Flame

Last time Lila Harris was in Happy, Texas, she was actively earning her reputation as the resident wild child. Now, a little older and wiser, she's back to run her mother's café for the summer. Except something about this town has her itching to get a little reckless and rowdy, especially when she sees her old partner-in-crime, Brody Dawson. Their chemistry is just as hot as ever. But he's still the town's golden boy - and she's still the wrong kind of girl.

Brody hasn't had much time lately for anything other than ranching. Running the biggest spread in the county and taking care of his family more than keeps him busy. All that responsibility has him longing for the carefree days of high school - and Lila. She may have grown up, but he still sees that spark of mischief in her eyes. Now he's dreaming about late-night skinny dipping and wondering how he can possibly resist the one woman he can never forget....

One of my favorites

Loved the story. Light, but not too predictable. Well written and well read. I loved the characters and didn't want the story to end. Well done and exactly what I wanted.

Both are.the toughest

Every time I read one of Carolyn's book I think it's the best one yet. But as usual the newest one is better. Loved Lila and Brody. The love that start as
wild teens continues and grows. The family and every character add to this wonderful story. Can't wait to see the continuation of this series. Carolyn has another amazing story to tell and a great way to get us hooked.

A Romance about a Romance

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I enjoyed listening, it was a sweet romance.

What about Chelsea Hatfield’s performance did you like?

Narration was excellent.

Did Toughest Cowboy in Texas inspire you to do anything?

Not sure I understand the title. It doesn't really fit.

Any additional comments?

Nice romance, no mystery or suspense.
