Publisher's Summary

After a painful loss, Cady Moreland is coming to Magdalene to start the next chapter of her life. A chapter that began 18 years ago but had a heartbreaking ending. The time in between was full of family and friendship, but Cady could never get the man she fell in love with all those years ago out of her heart.

Coert Yeager has learned to live without the girl who entered his life right when she shouldn't have and exited delivering a crippling blow he never would have suspected. The time in between was full of failing to find what he was missing...and life-altering betrayal.

But when that girl shows up in Magdalene and buys the town's beloved lighthouse, even if Coert wants to avoid her, he can't. A fire in town sparks a different kind of flame that won't be ignored.

As Cady and Coert question the actions of the two young adults they once were thrown into earth-shattering circumstances, can they learn from what came in between and find each other again?

Fall in LOVE with LOVE

I am in awe!

This is exactly the kind of story that made me fall in love with Kristen Ashley’s books.

A second chance at love is just magically to me. And I loved Coert & Cady they deserved to be together.

The way they loved each other is something to strive for. You can’t have that much pain and sorrow and not have that much love.

I have loved each book in the series, but just in a different way. Cady makes you believe in hope.

I laughed, I cried, I swooned, and I smiled so much my face hurt listening to this brilliant book of love and friendship.

I am also sure I have said this before but Kristen Ashley has a way of writing kids in to a story that is not only believable but so realistic. I love this so much!

I am in awe of Erin Mallon’s ability to make me love each character. To know each voice. To fall in love with love.
Fantastic.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves romance.

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

Unbalanced...

This book started out as a 1 to 2 stars read and ended up at a 4. So over all it's a 3.
I had the hardest time with Cady. She wasn't just a doormat, she was the ground underneath it. People treat her horribly and she just goes back to them and apologizes to them like a dog.
Yeah. APOLOGIZES. Even though nothing was ever her fault.
Seriously.
And when she tries to reconnect with Coert, He treats are horribly. Not just horribly, but HORRIBLY.
She just keeps trying.
No matter what he says to her, she just keeps going back. Not only that, but she text him over and over, and even stalks the places he'll be at. She's that crazy, stalkery, ex girlfriend that we usually cringe at.
It. was. Maddening.
Which is saying something for me, because I actually like my heroines soft and sweet. This girl was far, far beyond that.

But things change around at about the halfway mark. I know a lot of people didn't like the last half and thought it was boring, but I thought it was a very much needed. We needed to get that sweet to balance out all that sour.

But what ended up happening was, We get this angsty, horribly unjust, incredibly sad story, and then it completely does a 180 and were drowning in "I love yous."
I just felt it needed to be a little more balanced instead of going from one extreme to the next.

I'm glad I pushed through. KA always brings it . But there have been a few that just didn't thrill me and this was one of them.
But do it. Push through, because it all works out in the end.
Just like KA always manages to do.
Because she's just that brilliant

just no

I love this author but she has a few stinkers and this is one of them. while it is continually mentioned that the main character is clueless she is also whiny indecisive and irritating. The narrator sounds like she is on the verge of tears at all times! With this combination I am returning this book!

PEFECTION!!!!

There are not enough words for me to describe how much I loved this audiobook! The story was fantastic - a great second-chance romance with lots of angsty build up and super sexy steamy scenes. I flipped between reading and doing the audio and I have to say that this narrator did an amazing job bringing these characters to life! I loved this book so much - it's my favorite audiobook of 2017!

Not my favorite KA

Story was rather boring and mostly uneventful. Lacked an engaging plot and the narration was ok but not great as well Making for a mediocre story. I doubt this will ever be a multi listen

Definitely NOT Going on My KA Favorites Shelf!!

I'm heartbroken that I'm so VERY disappointed in the final book of this series. The storyline was mediocre at best....It feels like KA just threw a book together to end the series. The first two books are great, The Will is one of my absolute favorites.

The best thing about this book was catching up with characters from The Will and Soaring (the first two books in the series) and the side story between the handyman and Cady's niece.

Lastly, the narrator was okay, but, not great....she made the listening of this story (a tiny bit) more bearable.

This is one of the worst books I've listened to

I disliked this book so much, to little content, just on and on, predictable. If you want to hear about sex.. Terrible story. I can't say enough bad about this book.

Disappointed

Mean and just cruel for way to long. This is my least favorite of Kristen Ashley's books, and I have read most of them. Very disappointed!

Cannot stand the narrator

I adore Kristen Ashley, but this book was so hard to listen to. The narrator was just awful. Her voice was very breathy and often whiny. It ruined the experience entirely.

Bad narrator

The narrator has the most annoying way of talking. It sounds like she adds the letter h to all of her words and she is in pain. I'm struggling to get through the book and a little upset that I wasted money buying it.

Good Kristen Ashley fare

Ties in well with the other Magdalene series. Narration was OK. I would have like a little more story once they got together, some things just seemed to drift off. I suppose what I mean is it lacked a little excitement. It was OK.
