We met in a trapped elevator. Emmett was on his way to work, sophisticated and handsome in his tailored suit and tie. I was on my way to the sperm bank. Awkward, right? At 35, my life hadn't taken the path I thought it would and I was tired of waiting - I wanted a baby. And I was ready to take matters into my own hands to make it happen. After our ill-fated elevator encounter, Emmett insisted on taking me to dinner - he also insisted on something else - that I ditch my plan involving a turkey baster and let him do the job. He would be my baby daddy.

But then one night, Emma Haverford makes me an offer I can’t refuse - she backs away from the land I have my eye on in exchange for a favor...a big, fat, baby-making favor....

This single gal has had enough of the games, the BS, and the endless chase. I know what I want most, and it's not true love. When a celebrity blogging position falls into my lap, I'm determined to succeed. That is, until I get my first assignment and actually see Noah Frazier for the first time...practically naked and dripping wet. My heart races and I forget how to form complete sentences. It had been years since Milena Reinhart had seen TJ “Rock” Rockwell. He’d torn her heart out of her chest, and she still hadn’t completely recovered. Fake engaged to the hottest quarterback in the country? Score. They say nothing compares to your first kiss, but our first kiss was orchestrated for an audience. Our second kiss...that one was real. He cradled my face like he was terrified he'd f--k it up. He stared into my eyes until the air buzzed. Soft and slow, full of sighs and little laughs, he inhaled me like I was the finest Belgian chocolate, and he'd never get another piece.

It wasn't supposed to be like this.... I wasn't supposed to be boyfriendless, homeless, and jobless at 28. And I most definitely wasn't supposed to hit Hollywood's resident bad boy Gabriel Evans with my car and break his foot. Now I'm stuck in his apartment, taking care of him while he's incapacitated. Living with the hottest guy in Hollywood, who I've had a crush on forever, doesn't sound like a chore, right? Wrong. Gabriel Evans is rude and crude and drinks way too much, and as soon as his foot is healed I'm out of here. So why do I keep forgetting to check the classifieds?
New year. New place. New me. Right? Wrong. And all because of Shay Coleman. Football captain and quarterback, he was the big guy on campus. The cocky guy in my political science class with a smirk. I hated him on sight...and he was about to break all my rules.
Garrett Hawkins is the most valuable asset to his Special Forces unit, because, frankly, the guy doesn't care if he lives or dies anymore. Since the love of his life, Sage Weston, was kidnapped and killed with her medical unit a year ago, Garrett has turned the shell of his soul into the armor of a finely tuned fighting machine. Being the first tapped for the unit's craziest missions is just fine by him. The less time for memories and the agony they carve into his soul, the better.
When you think about how easy it is to lose keys, phones, sunglasses and your dignity on social media, you might figure it'd be a cinch for me to ditch my V Card. You'd be wrong. At 25, I run a successful business, live in a fantastic apartment, and have fabulous friends to go out with any night of the week. And yet I'm still a card-carrying member of a club I don't want to belong to anymore. Good thing I know just the man for the deflowering job - my brother’s business partner and best friend.
Mia Saunders needs money. A lot of money. She has one year to pay off the loan shark who has threatened her father's life and is coming after his unpaid gambling debts. One million dollars to be exact. Her mission is simple - serve as a high-priced escort for her aunt's Los Angeles-based company and pay monthly against the debt. Spend a month with a rich man whom she doesn't have to sleep with if she doesn't want to? Easy money. Unlucky in love with a spirit that never gives up, this curvy motorcycle-riding vixen plans to get in, make her money, and get out.
With The Look of Love, best-selling author Bella Andre introduces you to a fun and emotional contemporary romance series about the Sullivan family. Because when a Sullivan bad boy falls... he falls hard. And it's forever. Chloe Peterson is having a bad night. A really bad night. The large bruise on her cheek can attest to that. And when her car skids off the side of a wet country road straight into a ditch, she's convinced even the gorgeous guy who rescues her must be too good to be true. Or is he?
I'll be the first to admit that I live at extremes. After going 10 years locked in what felt like a dysfunctional marriage, I'm now decidedly boy-free. In nearly three years I've had no boyfriends, no flings, no dates, and no sex. For the sake of my dream career, the sacrifice has been easy. At least it was. Until he came along. Lukas Hendricks. He's rude, gorgeous, arrogant - a stone-carved wall of muscle and distraction. He's everything I know to avoid but there's no avoiding your next-door neighbor.

Adam returns to Raven's Cove to sell his home in a final break with the town and memories that haunt him. The problem is that his attraction to Megan is as blazing hot as it ever was. But when a vicious smear campaign against Megan turns ugly, Adam learns the truth he never knew--he has a son. Now the only way Megan can protect her child is to strike a bargain with Adam. And it's a bargain that looks a lot like blackmail....
Story started with potential then when down hill. The narrator read mechanically, I had to speed up his voice so there wasn't a long pause between each word. Characters were not well developed. The main characters kept repeating each scene in their head like I hadn't just listen to it. Both of them kept repeating all their flaws like we hadn't already learned about what terrible people they thought they were. I would not recommend this book.

This book is a sweet romance. With a bit of mystery surrounding thier last encounter, the story was interesting. I enjoyed the story but the narration made it sexy. I could listen to that voice all day.
Not going to lie I only bought this book to listen to Ryan Hudson's voice.
I can't really tell you what the story was about, I literally just drooled over Ryan and his sultry voice.
it was ok. i do not think i would buy if it wasn't so cheap. js
Great listen, love how the story was written. I immediately looked for other book titles!
It's a feel good story with a tiny bit of mystery .
Enjoyed both the story and the narration.

What disappointed you about The Baby Bargain?
At times it was too serious and too over thought for me ... On reading the summary I was genuinely interested and excited by the promise of a strong female lead role and a imperfect alpha male lead role. Something to sink into... Sadly the female wasn't strong she was soft and wimpy as well as unbelievable at times bordering on pathetic.
What will your next listen be?
After listening to a book recommended by Audible from my previous purchases, I thought I'd avail myself of that service again. Possibly Seven by Dannika Dark.
Would you listen to another book narrated by Ryan Hudson?
Yes, he was one of a few redeeming qualities that kept me listening to this book when the story became far too predictable.
What character would you cut from The Baby Bargain?
Hmm, I think the cafe/restaurant owner and supposed best friend, so forgettable I dont even remember her name and considering she is the best friend isn't in the book very much at all!
Any additional comments?
The story did have a few redeeming qualities, a very good narrator, hence the 3 stars. The makings of an excellent story foundation. The passion and sexual tension between the two leads was great just not enough of it. Some editing and lot more information and story on the "Once a Marine Security" may have been beneficial and a lots more fun ... goodness knows people need to laugh as well!
