Torment -- A great second chance

C.M. Seabrook wrote an emotional second chance love story that has many facets. Zee is recovering addict who is bouncing back from rock bottom. Quinn is the girl who always loved him from childhood. I'm not a fan of guys who run away when things get rough, but Zee needed to grow up. The story has some unexpected twists.The ending was wonderful!
The narration on this book was great, but I didn't think they sounded the ages of Quinn and Zee. Gunnar Qualen has a Dennis Quaid like voice, which is very smooth and rich. Jenna St. Claire didn't sound like she was in her early twenties, but she is also really good. The narrators have great chemistry, and express fitting emotions, they just didn't sound like they are in their early twenties. I would definitely listen to more books by this author and narrators.

I absolutely loved this book and audio! It was a great performance by both narrators!

Torment is about a boy who not only experienced the tragic loss of someone he loved at young age but also endured the abuse of a parent. It’s about a boy who grows into a broken man that doesn’t believe he’s worthy of anyone’s love. Zee has been running from his past and burying his sorrows in alcohol and drugs. Finally hitting rock bottom Zee decides it’s time for a change. This decision has him going back to his hometown to face the people he’s hurt and try to right the wrongs of his past.
Quinn has loved Zee ever since they were children. Nothing ever happened between the two growing up because Zee was her brother’s best friend. That was until one night they shared a kiss and then Zee disappeared. Six years later and now Zee’s back in town. Quinn is angry with him but still loves him. Seeing past the facade Zee puts on makes Quinn realize just how much pain he’s in. Now she’s determined to get him to open up to her and show that he is worthy of love. Also to show him that he doesn’t need to carry his burdens alone.
I really enjoyed Quinn and Zee’s story and can’t wait for the next book.

Magnificent!!

This is my first book by this author. I have to say it’s Freaking Amazing!!! I wasn’t sure what I was expecting but this story has the sparks flying and my interest. I fell in love with the characters and storyline. I definitely want more of this series. I am definitely starting the next book in the series right away. The story has intrigue, adventure, heartbreak, redemption, romance, forgiveness and sex. This book is worth the credit!
Gunnar Qualen and Jenna St. Claire are Fan-freaking-tastic! ❤️.
They bring the story to life. They do a Magnificent job with the characters and voices of each character making it easy to distinguish between the characters. They also put a lot of emotion and feelings into the story which I can’t do by just reading the book. They are extremely entertaining narrators and are sexy as sin together when narrating. They are flawless together and I always love listening to the audiobooks they narrate.

Impossible not to fall in love

Stories with character history are one of the things I love to listen to. Zee St. James and Quinn Savage have known each other forever. Zee is Quinn's brother's best friend and Quinn's childhood love. When Zee leaves, Quinn tries to move on, but in her heart, she knows he is the one. When he returns home, 6 years later, things have changed, secrets are bared and life may never be the same. Will there be forgiveness and second chances? A spinoff of the amazing Wild Irish Trilogy, this first book in the Savages and Saints series delivers a cast of characters that are interesting, full of love, friendship and emotional baggage that leave you wanting to get to know better! CM Seabrook always writes with tortuous passion and such well developed plots and characters, I feel like I am there, living the story with them. Zee and Quinn are a couple that is easy to cheer for, cry for and love. Can't wait for book 2!

I always enjoy narrations by Gunnar Qualen and Jenna St. Claire. They perform a duet with ease and flawlessness bringing the story to life with passion and all the feels.
