Publisher's Summary

"I'm not your enemy, Quinn. And I'm sure as hell not your prince charming, so stop looking at me like you're not sure which one I am."

Six years he's been gone, and then he falls straight into my bed. Literally. And I know my torment is only beginning.

I waited my whole life for Zee St. James to open his eyes and see me. But Port Clover's official bad boy would never view me as anything more than his best friend's little sister.

He shattered my heart into thousands of pieces when he left. And I spent years trying to forget him. Trying to banish the memory of that one kiss.

I thought I'd moved on. But when he comes crashing back into my life, or rather my apartment - the one he still owns - I'm defenseless against him.

Just when I think I might finally get my happily ever after, a web of secrets and betrayal threaten to unravel the hope I finally found in his arms.

And I'm faced with the soul-baring question: Is loving Zee worth the torment he inflicts?

Torment is the first, stand-alone novel in the brand-new Savages and Saints series, and a spin off of the Wild Irish series from Amazon Bestselling Author C.M. Seabrook

Second chance romance with all the feels!

Zee St. James and Quinn Savage have a long history together. Quinn has always been in love with Zee, but he’s her brothers best friend therefore completely off limits. When he leaves Quinn desperately tries to move on, but can’t seem let feelings go. Now it’s six years later and Zee is back. Everything is different. They’re different. Secrets that have surfaced have changed the game, but the feelings are still the same.

This book was so freaking good! When C. M. Seabrook announced a spinoff from the Wild Irish series I was really looking forward to Zee’s story and I was not disappointed. I loved Zee! He’s not just your stereotypical hero. There so many layers to him. He’s been through so much pain and closes him self off to being loved. I wanted to hug him and then bang him. Quinn was great! He girl always knew what she was feeling was true and went with it. The way she loves Zee and wants to peel back his layers and show him he’s worthy of love made my heart happy. I love a good second chance romance and this story and couple made me feel everything right along with them and also root for them the whole time. Their story is beautiful even when it hurts.

Narration by Gunnar Qualen and Jenna St. Claire was great. They’re both new to me narrators, but quickly won me over. They brought Zee and Jenna to life effortlessly and injecting he perfect amount of passion this story needs. 5 Stars.

Brilliantly epic

Listen to the book after reading it brought back how wonderfully brilliant this book the emotion in the readers voice alone was like I was actually the characters the reader did an excellent job complementing the story that C.M.Seabrook wrote Zee you complicated twisted broken hung of a man this book had it all it was a story of love love dark light live in general how we can sometimes get so lost in the turmoil of our lives that we feel there's no way out and we end up so broken and form that we literally see no end life is tough enough but when your battling demons it's so much harder then when you left expect it that one person the other half of you your missing broken pieces are finally able to snap.back into I!ave you see the light at the end of the tunnel and you realize it took that one person your true North your soul to heal you to make you see that your worth living your worth living your worth something and you can be something you can finally breathe this story is that finding that the hard times are well hard but you can live with as long as you have that someone that belongs to you to help guide you threw I'm still emotional as I write this it was a beautiful story of losing fighting and finally wining at the game called life I can't wait to see what's next

loved this story

The narration made this story come to life. It is a great second chance romance. Quinn has been in love with the town bad boy her whole life, Zee ran off several years earlier. She has finally put him behind her and moved on with her life. Or so she thought. He literally falls into her bed. This story will leave you with a smile on your face.

C.M. Seabrook is always one of my go to authors. I can always read or listen to her books over and over.

Wonderful second chance romance

This is my first book by CM Seabrook but I’m excited to hear more from her. The narration was amazing and the narrators are also new to me. Overall this was an amazing book, I was pretty certain of the happenings but still loved the flow of the book. I felt horrible for Zee and my heart hurt for him. Quinn was a very likeable gal too. I thought what a great guy Cade was in this book and can’t wait to listen to his story. Lately books with such cute kids are everywhere and I love them in stories.

This book left me with a smile on my face and a heart filled with love with the HEA.

Definitely worth a credit for anyone who lives second chance love stories.

A Second Chance Romance

This is my first C.M. Seabrook book but it definitely won't be my last. I loved this second chance love story of Zee and Quinn. Zee was a bad boy with a difficult childhood who made a lot of bad choices before his life started spiraling out of control and hitting rock bottom. Quinn was the girl who fell in love with him years ago before he ran off. They see each other again and sparks fly until secrets start to unfold. I loved the characters and the chemistry they had for each other. I'm also looking forward to book 2 to get Cade's story.

Gunnar Qualen and Jenna St. Claire did an excellent job with their duet narration at bringing this story and these characters to life.

I received this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.

Quinn💘Zee! Great Story & Audible Listen 🎧

This is my first C.M. Seabrook book and I enjoyed her writing style, her story captivated me from from start to end. Her storylines are interesting, there is plenty of drama, angst and emotionally charged moments, as well as some laugh out loud moments and some hot romance. There is also some secrets and twists that have the power to change lives. The characters in this story are complex and well developed. Quinn crushed on her older brother Kade’s best friend Zee but he upped and left without a word. Zee is a tormented soul, beaten down most of his life he feels he is not worthy of anything. He has screwed up in the past and he comes back to make mends and do the right thing. I loved how the story played out and it all unfolded, loved the way things ended too. I highly recommend this angst filled romance! C.M Seabrook thank you for this great story and the emotional rollercoaster ride.

Gunnar Qualen and Jenna St. Claire are wonderful narrators and voice performers. They bring the story to life, give each character their own voice and personality as well as heart and attitude. They are awesome at projecting the emotions of the characters and the drama of the story into their performance. Both are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another great listen🎧

A Great Romance Series!

This is a great romance story that will pull you in and keep your interest till the end. I enjoyed listening and really loved the characters. Especially Quinn's dating (non)life due to her brothers! I had to deal with that myself! Love the brothers but they sure can hinder a girl's dating scene. LOL This really is a wonderful second chance romance. The story well written with developed characters. The narration by Gunnar Qualen and Jenna St. Claire really bring the story to life. I really enjoyed that she did the female voices and he did the male and both did a superb job. A great romance I will be recommending to my friends. I can't wait to listen to the next book!

Heartbreaking and wonderful~

I won a audible copy of Torment (Savages and Saints) and could not be more thrilled to share my review with you.

From the blurb you get the idea that Quinn has been in love with her brothers best friend Zee forever.
When her chance to kiss him and show him her attraction, he kisses her back then pushes her away just to disappear.
Six years later, Zee makes a reappearance in his home town with a heavy heart and a still lingering attraction to Quinn.
We follow what slowly becomes more than a friendship but Zee has a lot of demons to work through and the question is will Quinn be the one to help him or will she realize there is just so much one heart can take.

Their story is beautiful even when Zee's makes my heart ache for the dark place his soul is in. To carry a burden for so long, make it through hell and still come out a good man shows the strength within him. It just takes the right circumstance to show him the way to the light.

I loved the story and YES....I want more. The author found her way onto my must read list, if all she writes is as well written as this book I'm in for a very long ride. Friends to lovers, brothers best friend, this book has a lot to offer.

Also, since this was an audible book I need to share that the narration was amazing. Both Gunnar Qualen and Jenna St. Claire brought the characters to life.

Impossible not to fall in love

Stories with character history are one of the things I love to listen to. Zee St. James and Quinn Savage have known each other forever. Zee is Quinn's brother's best friend and Quinn's childhood love. When Zee leaves, Quinn tries to move on, but in her heart, she knows he is the one. When he returns home, 6 years later, things have changed, secrets are bared and life may never be the same. Will there be forgiveness and second chances? A spinoff of the amazing Wild Irish Trilogy, this first book in the Savages and Saints series delivers a cast of characters that are interesting, full of love, friendship and emotional baggage that leave you wanting to get to know better! CM Seabrook always writes with tortuous passion and such well developed plots and characters, I feel like I am there, living the story with them. Zee and Quinn are a couple that is easy to cheer for, cry for and love. Can't wait for book 2!

I always enjoy narrations by Gunnar Qualen and Jenna St. Claire. They perform a duet with ease and flawlessness bringing the story to life with passion and all the feels.

I loved it!!

I love this bad boy, brother's best friend, coming back to town trope!! Quinn is a great character, she doesn't let her brothers boss her around and she stands her ground when Zee acts like an idiot.
I absolutely love the scene when they meet again after 6 years, that was hilarious!!
I thought the female narrator sounded a little too old for 18yo Quinn, but everything was fine after the 6 year jump.
Can't wait to listen to the next installment in this series!!

Amazing definitely recommend listening.

Wow, I enjoyed the experience of reading this book originally but listening to it on audio books blew me away. The book introduced us to the savage and saints families this book focuses on Quinn and Zee she's been in love with him forever but when he disappears without a goodbye she's hurt. Fast forward 5 years and he's back.

Torment a second chance romance

C.M. Seabrook wrote an emotional second chance love story that has many facets. Zee is recovering addict who is bouncing back from rock bottom. Quinn is the girl who always loved him from childhood. I'm not a fan of guys who run away when things get rough, but Zee needed to grow up. The story has some unexpected twists. The ending was wonderful!
The narration on this book was great, but I didn't think they sounded the ages of Quinn and Zee. Gunnar Qualen has a Dennis Quaid like voice, which is very smooth and rich. Jenna St. Claire didn't sound like she was in her early twenties, but she is also really good. The narrators have great chemistry, and express fitting emotions, they just didn't sound like they are in their early twenties. I would definitely listen to more books by this author and narrators.
