Need more alpha male

This was slow & kinda iffy, def not a repeat but not a total waste UNTIL the last hour when instead of rescuing his love he stops for a chat… WTH!?! And for an “elite” teams group they weren’t that great. The male & female voices did not sound the same age like they should’ve been, so that was off too. Pretty disappointing.

I finished it, but it wasn't easy.

The lack of Ops in this Ops novel was excruciating. But the ops holes in Jeremy killed it.
lf he couldn't have felt like an ops guy, I would have settled for a smart guy. Unfortunately he was neither.

second chance at love...with some drama

Rayne is on the run from her former boss...he's into some shady stuff and she saw too much. She returns to her hometown, a place that she never thought she'd see again when she left 9yrs ago. Now she needs protection for herself and son and her new job is just the place to be safe...Night Eagle Security...a company that employees ex-military who perform black ops. Jeremy was in love years ago, but then his heart was destroyed when his gf left town without a word and a trace. Now, 9yrs later, he works for Night Eagle and is content...sort of. When his co-workers begin gushing about the new hire...imagine his surprise when it turns out to be his ex! It takes a while for the two to be civil to each other...they first had to get past the secrets and lies that tore them apart. Jeremy has to protect his family and find out why Rayne's ex-boss is so determined to have her. This book was packed w drama and suspense. The characters were well developed and the story did not lag. Loved the ending! Will definitely read more books in this series.
