Jess was born a prisoner, grew up a prisoner, and at 16 knew he would die a prisoner. When his turn comes to try to break through the traps protecting a spaceship it seems his day to die has come. The ship, and others like it, have already claimed hundreds of prisoners' lives.

Instead he manages to avoid the traps and gain access to the ship with two other prisoners, beginning a frantic flight to freedom. Soon Jess finds himself loose in a brutal universe ruled by the Empire and riddled with pirates, slave traders, and worse. Can Jess manage to learn the rules of the universe and the capabilities of the ship he has stolen in time to stay alive?

Great start to a series!

This book is full of action with just a little romance thrown in! Can’t write more, have to get the next book!

I really enjoyed this story

Now I only wish that the rest of the series were also on audible. I really do enjoy these stories of intelligent alien ships looking for crews. I can easily recommend it as a good enjoyable read.

What did you love best about Wanderer's Escape?

This book takes you on an interesting journey of an escaped slave. The characters are interesting and the ideas of the AI are interesting as well.

The book addresses some adult themes but the author does so in a way that is discrete.
I do not recall any objectionable language.

It is truly nice to find an author that can tell an intriguing story without the need to appeal to the crude or obscene language or descriptions.

I will be listening to the books that follow in the series.

There is little science in this sci-fi novel. What there is is just to act as a thin backdrop for a none too original book.

Good listening

Loved the story, listened to it in two days. Had a good start with lots of action and a love twist and the usual betrayal. Worth the time spent listening.
