The first time I met Chase Parker, I didn't exactly make a good impression. I was hiding in the bathroom hallway of a restaurant, leaving a message for my best friend to save me from my awful date. He overheard and told me I was a bitch, then proceeded to offer me some dating advice. So I told him to mind his own damn business and went back to my miserable date. I couldn't help but sneak hidden glances at the condescending jerk on the other side of the room. Of course, he caught me on more than one occasion, and winked.

She didn't know what she was missing...until he found her.
Maxwell Knight was dangerously good looking, seductively charming, and definitely trouble. He was everything Jeanella Mefferd did not need now.
Fresh out of college, life was predictable and comfortable for Jeanella. She had the strength of her friends and the security of her job, and she was dating a reliable man; it was all smooth sailing. That was until one night, when she met someone who made her feel things she'd never felt before--dangerous, heart pounding, breathless heat. Never imagining she would see him again, Jeanella has no idea what to do when fate steps in and thrusts Maxwell Knight into her life just as things were beginning to change around her. When she lands her dream job and travels to New York for Fashion Week, can she focus on her career instead of on Maxwell?
Will she ignore all the danger signs and jump straight into his arms, or will she miss out on the chance of finding something great?
Loved Max and Jenna's story! Sweet, sexy, and Something Great! Maxwell Knight is utterly delicious!

Would you try another book from M. Clarke and/or Anna Hardt?
I will probably READ a book by M. Clarke but I will not listen to another book narrated by Anna Hardt. The story line was good but the narration was very disappointing.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Personally, I am very disappointed in the narrator's performance. There was background noise at times, there was very little contrast between character voices, her narration was monotone for the most part, corrections were not edited, and there were even a few times when belches were evident.
Any additional comments?
My sole purpose for a subscription to Audible is to listen during travel since, obviously, I can't read while driving. The books aren't cheap and it's quite frustrating and angering to pay for a book that is so poorly narrated - a good story "lost in translation"/narration.

Would you try another book from M. Clarke and/or Anna Hardt?
not Anna Hardt. M. Clarke is a maybe. I really can't tell if it the narrator makes this story so flat or the combination of the two.
Would you ever listen to anything by M. Clarke again?
maybe. I really can't tell if it the narrator makes this story so flat or the combination of the two.
Would you be willing to try another one of Anna Hardt’s performances?
Never!
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
I am 40 minutes into it and want to return it. It is pretty awful and I am very forgiving of inane stories. This one is sooo boring and I can't think that it will get any better. There is no heat, nothing that makes me like the Jemma character or her friends. The guy is still a face at this point but I couldn't care less about finding out more about him.
Any additional comments?
Can I get my money back?

Very monotonous and bored narrator. I could do as good a job reading aloud the book and trust me I am a horrible reader aloud.

The narrator's voice sounded bored. The male voice was no different than her female voice.

This book was a real cheese fest with no real storyline at all. To put it simply, I just lost several hours of my life that I will never be able to reclaim. The only thing I can say for this book is that it was consistently bad....the narrator sucked just as much as the storyline. Needless to say, I won't be reading anymore of Ms. Clarke's books, not even if you paid me.

I have had this audiobook for over a year-and-a-half. I have stopped and started it because this is a horrible audiobook. sorry I can't get into the story because of the narration. I just can't get pass it.
the storyline isn't that great either so with the combination of the storyline and the narration I will give this to thumbs down. if they had zero rating that's what I would give it.
the book has poor character development the storyline is all over the place . I just can't do it.
What made the experience of listening to Something Great the most enjoyable?
I enjoyed getting to know all of the characters. I think M Clarke does a great job of bringing her characters to life and making you want to jump thru the fictional world and get to them!
I love this book. The characters are sexy and fun. Love Max!! The reading of this book is easy and very well written. Audible however, the narrator is a bit bland. sorry. but max seems like a passionate guy and she just does him bland. and i cannot believe the mistakes, this the re reading of some, I know this must be hard reading for an audience but really?? Just get some spunk and do Max justice!!!
the narrator had a monotonous voice and sounded bored reading the book. the book itself had a boring, cliché, too -good-to-be-true storyline. I found myself rolling my eyes or shaking my head at the cheesiness of it all. couldn't bother to finish it even though I try to finish all my books. this book proved to be much too boring, predictable, and cliche. sorry author but even I could do better.
It's a pity the reader read straight from the book with hardly any inflection in the telling.
Most if the time I lost which character was speaking as there is no change in the narrater's voice.
Ir's a shame really, I think the story would be good but I got board with the flat telling.
