The Substitute

This was a new author for me so I wasn’t sure if I would like his style. But I have to say he really gave us a full and whole story. The characters are full and round you don’t feel like you’re missing parts of them like with some book I always feel like I don’t really know the character.

Maddy and Payton’s chemistry is explosive, I just wanted Maddy’s to be more honest with herself and she was for the most part but for an adult she really lets her family dictate her life. I didn’t really like that part of the story. And her ex is a massive you know what, how he thought he could just come back and things were going to go back to the way it was before. Some men are just dingbats.

I loved the narration, these two know how to do romance and do them well.

My Two Pennies

4.5 stars. I was pulled into this story all over again with Peyton and Maddy. The narration was wonderful giving each individual character their own strong personality and kept me wanting to listen. I found myself hooked more then before while listening and although I’ve read the story, I felt even more hooked hearing it.

Enjoyed

I enjoyed listening to this audiobook. It was a fun journey to see Peyton and Maddy re-connect. There were cute fun surprises throughout the story. It was a nice way to spend my afternoon while I was at work cleaning houses. Bonus that Sebastian and CJ Bloom narrate the story.

Even better in audio!!! Steamy sweet goodness!!

Peyton and Maddy were already a favorite couple but hearing their story with Sebastian York & CJ Bloom made it even better!! I loved it in audio! I could listen to it all over again!! And again. And the steam! OMG, even dirtier out loud!!

If you like second chances, small town romance, sports romance, friends to lovers stories, you want to read/listen to this one. Peyton is cocky but sweet. Maddy is feisty and determined. They deserve their HEA.

WOW

Mickey kicked this one out of the stadium! The Narrators did an amazing job as well. You will experience the heroine grow into the strong woman she ends up being. The hero is a fun loving jokester. Together they overcome their troubles and turn into an amazing couple.

Cute book

I loved the book but am somewhat disappointed in the epilogue. I like to really see into their future and this author only went 6 months out. Also, male narrator maybe did 4 chapters

Wonderfully Written!

Finished The Substitute! I’ve connected with yet another one of Mickey’s characters. I won’t say why but Maddy and I, we are kin. I was so excited to read Peyton and Maddy’s story, and let me tell ya it did not disappoint! I love the banter they have between one another, and their chemistry is undeniable. It was a great story to read and made my rides to work fly by because I got to dive into their world.

Oh My Substitute!

This is not my first book by either Mickey Miller or Sebastian York and CJ Bloom. It's a trifecta of talent. I loved the performance and narration, Sebastian's voice is like sex on a stick.

The story was great. I loved how Magpie surprised Peyton at every turn. I also agree with the advice Peyton got from his Grandmother. It's the quiet ones you have to watch out for.

Wouldn't have used a credit

I wish I had waited for this to be part of the Escape package. I fell for the advertisement thinking it would be a book worth a credit, but it wasn't anything special. Also -- I am literally ANGRY about how silly the girl was to just take the engagement ring. I think that was lazy writing to not be about to come up with a better "issue" at the end before the happily ever after. Book was ok, but not great.

Sweet second chance...

Really enjoy second chance stories especially hot steamy one! . The narration performance was on point, you can’t go wrong with Seb York and CJ Bloom... Maddie and Peyton had great chemistry and they were able to overcome their doubts and discover themselves as well.. this is my first book I listen from M. Miller, I really enjoyed his writing style, I’m a fan of the sweet and steamy scenes!

Five stars beautifully read

What a book, fantastically read by Sebastian York (his voice) swoon moment, and CJ Bloom love the accent. Their voices are very clear and you can understand what they are saying. They fit the part well. They bring the characters to life.About the story. Maddy Cooper lives in a small town and is a teacher, Payton O'Rourke plays football. When the NFL goes on strike he moves back into town, and takes a job at the school while also coaching. As you can imagine things start to heat up. While Payton tries to withhold Maddy's advance's, Maddy pushes all of his buttons. The characters are very loveable, with plenty of chemistry. Definitely worth a listen.

Lovely story

Maddie & Eric were together throughout school until he broke it off unexpectedly to travel. Payton has returned to his home town to visit his grandma temporary after his football team went on strike. The two have a chemistry she wasn't sure she was !ooking for. I loved that Payton knew what he wanted & was showing Maddie not just to accept things and to look for more.
The audio narration was fabulous I really enjoyed the flow of the words and found it so easy to listen to.

Flirty, Sexy, Sweet

I loved and found this sport romance an easy listen. Peyton and Maddie are two characters that make you feel like you are in their story.
I love their banter and had a few laughs.
Sebastian York is one of my too favourite audiobook narrator and delivers this perfectly with CJ bloom.
4.5 over all stars.

Loved it

Is there anything better than a romance novel from a male author, I love their input. I also loved the awkward moments at the start as the main characters interacted and just watching as they developed their relationship. I especially loved that although it’s a sports romance it wasn’t over the top with the sports references.

A solid 5 stars I just wish I could give it more stars. The narrators really pushed it to the next stage.

not your typical sports romance

I thought this would be a typical sports romance (a genre I'm not a huge fan of /I have read or listened to many ) but this is not that ! it has some brief moments in regards to the NFL and Peyton being a 'superstar' but it is so much more ! the romance between him and Maddy the fact its kind of forbidden thanks to her dads dislike of him and the fact he took over her classroom ! but the story just leaves you wanting so much more ! absolutely loved it , the narrators are great anyway and were perfect for their roles

Wow, this is wonderful, I had already read this story and thought it was great, but to listen to it has taken it to a different level, the narration by Sebastian and CJ was awesome and made me want to listen, they brought the characters to life.
