Publisher's Summary

Sam "Mozart" Reed's life changed the day his little sister was found abused and murdered when he was 15. He's spent the past 19 years looking for the serial killer who took his sister from him and ruined his family. Using his connections, and SEAL training, Mozart believes he's finally tracked the killer to the town of Big Bear, California.

Summer Pack is working in a crappy motel up at Big Bear Lake until she can find something better, more meaningful, more real. Living in an unhealthy situation, she meets a man who is everything she's ever dreamed about and who helps her see that there are some people in the world who will actually do what they say they will.

But somewhere in Big Bear a killer is waiting to strike again. Watching for the perfect victim.

    "Another great one"

I'm actually glad I stumbled on these series late as by the time I found it all the audio versions where released. I've been loving listening to all the Seals find their women. Susan writes amazing and interesting stories while Stella does an outstanding job of narrating them. If you like good audio books don't miss these. If you prefer to read this a must read series you don't want to miss

"Not my favorite of this series but pretty good"

First of all, it's totally not necessary to read them in order. I don't even find it helpful to more fully enjoy. On some level I think the author spends too much time at the beginning rehashing all the things the earlier women went through. However, I LOVED the hero. I hated his overuse of "Sunshine". He could have thrown " sweetheart" or even "baby" in there ever so often. I could have done without the disgusting things the bad guy did. I don't care for gagging during an enjoyable ( something I do for entertainment) read, or listen in this case.
I had a little trouble with Summer's Plight/situation. I would like to think a woman smart enough to have a masters degree would have found even working at a fast food place better than the unbelievable conditions laid out here. I know things aren't so black and white in the real world, but this was quite a stretch for me

    4hrs 55mins into the story

    **one huge ass eye roll**
This author has SUCH potential. These audiobooks are short (about 5hrs or so). I think if the author lengthened her stories she could take that time and flesh out her story. She could take the time to give the characters believable dialogue. She could take the time to let her characters fall in love rather than the instalove that has happened in EVERY SINGLE STORY. She could take the time to decide what the hell she wants to call her characters because the constant switching between nicknames and real names is too much.

The stories are actually ok but could use some tweaking to raise the bar. At one point Fiona said that Joseph was creepy. and the author kept switching back between saying it was Alabama. Alabama was drunk in her room. Fiona said it. The editor failed on this one.

The bad guy was almost every cliche possible. he stank, he licked her, he abused her, he did a few other nasty things to her. This all came out in a matter of 10mins. He went from a shadow to to jack the freaking ripper in the blink of an eye.

I challenge the author to not use the following in her future books.

    ** mine
** his woman or their women
** her man or their men
** protect you with my life
    ** embarrassed
    ** i see you
** SEAL (big protective SEAL, Don't worry he's a SEAL, etc...)
** nick names and or pet names. If two people are in a room having a
    conversation the characters don't need
to constantly say each other's name. I KNOW WHO THEY ARE TALKING TO.

    story - 2
narrator 2.5 (she wasn't as good in this one. Her guy voices need work)

ps - i hate that the books try to build up the sexual tension only to not deliver. STOP TEASING ME!! Either have your couples have hot monkey sex or not. That whole "you aren't ready so I just wanna cuddle" makes me wanna slam my head into a wall. You already have them tripping into instalove where's the great sex? I'm not saying write a damn SEAL orgy into the books but a satisfying sex scene would be nice. Do it right or don't do it at all.

pss- during the act of unprotected sex is a bit late to be talking about safe sex and if the person is clean etc...

    "Summer and Mozart"

I enjoyed this book and think Susan Stoker has another winner. I feel as though Summer is not as strong a character as the other female leads, but Summer still manages to catch Mozart's eye.

The storyline about Mozart"s murdered little sister is continued in a Kindle World book and not yet available on audio. I recommend reading Jordan Dane's Redemption for Avery after reading/ listening to Summer.

    "Moving Forward"

Summer is starting over from scratch, but her cheap employer is taking advantage of her unfortunate circumstances. She's more interested in her next meal than any man, but 'Mozart' is tempting with his easy charm and warm smile.
Sam 'Mozart' Reed is on the trail of the man who killed his younger sister 19 years ago. He has been obsessed with catching this serial killer and Summer is a welcome distraction.
Soon his interest in Summer grows into something more, but his leave is over and he has to report back for another mission. Though he promises to come back Summer isn't holding her breath. She's been let down before and she's been taught that the only person she can truly rely on is herself.
A couple of months later Summer is worse off than she was before and when Mozart finds her he is both horrified and overtaken by the need to protect this woman he couldn't forget. He gets called away again, but their budding relationship has caught the interest of a killer.
Though I'm sure the men in the SEAL Protection series find their women extremely beautiful, it isn't the deciding factor. Most of the woman have bravely bolstered through devastating circumstances and caught their attention with their courage or selflessness. It is no different for Summer and Mozart.
I liked the heat between these two and what they were willing to let go of to be together.
Stella Bloom gave both characters more life with her talented narration and Susan Stoker gave me yet another wild ride as Mozart tried to protect Summer.

    "Really good series!"

So far I have liked each book in this series. They've each been different enough in story line to keep my interests up, continuing to each subsequent book. I am not looking forward to an end anytime soon as I am now invested in these characters. I have especially enjoyed the intrigue, suspense and surprises that have accompanied the romance.

I love this series of books. I like the fact that the women involved are pictured as independent and partnering the men. They are perfect go to bed books.
