Publisher's Summary

The Mackay cousins - Natches, Rowdy, and Dawg - would do anything for family, so when former DHS agent Timothy Cranston drops off four sisters that Dawg never knew he had, there is no question: The cousins will protect and care for the girls, and their mother, because they’re family....

Five years later, Eve Mackay, the eldest sister, has graduated from college and settled in to life as a Mackay in Pulaski County, Kentucky. She works hard as a cocktail waitress and helps out at the bed-and-breakfast that Dawg bought for her mother. If she keeps herself busy enough, maybe she’ll be able to stay away from the man she promised Dawg she wouldn’t date, the man who has awakened her most ravenous fantasies….

He’s Brogan Campbell, a biker rumored to be a traitor and a thief. But he’s just playing a part; he came to Kentucky for a DHS mission that no one, except Cranston, is supposed to know about. Eve is the key to the whole operation, and his orders are to get her participation. But his need for Eve has nothing to do with stolen secrets and the safety of the country….

When Dawg took in Eve and her sisters, he warned them that if they ever lied, cheated, or betrayed the family, they risked losing everything. But desire and danger are locked in an inescapable embrace, and Eve has to make her choice between family or Brogan, for better or worse....

Nauti, Nauti, Nauti but oh so nice, nice, nice too

This is actually book 8 in LL's Nauti series but I don't know if that had any adverse effects on my listening pleasure as this is the first book in a spin-off new series.

It is just what you've come to expect from one of her books - a hot and heavy steamy romance that's all part of an interesting plot - undercover secret agent for Homeland Security really really tries to keep his hands off Eve but she's just too tempting. It's got a tense storyline and some great characters - including Brogan (main man) who is definitely your dominant yet brooding alpha type with a chip on his shoulder from the past.

Worth a credit? Ms Leigh puts the R in eRotic and if you know this and aren't put off, or already like her books, then it's clearly a YES.

Avoid!

I'm a fan of the dominant, alpha male lead, but this guy went so far beyond the acceptable line it was creepy and disturbing. He was cruelly manipulative, truly condescending to his "love" and some of the sex was, at best, coerced, and, at worst, assault. Yuck!

I normally like Lora Leigh

I'm sad to write this review because I normally like Lora Leigh's writing. This book, however, was neither a good, nor in any way believable story. I can't recommend it as a romance. The too macho, dominant (in bad ways) and over-protective men who keep lying, controlling (in bad ways) and manipulating the women in the book are infuriating. There's some decent sex, despite it happening at times and in ways that are, at best, improbable (a recently former virgin being ok with anal and spanking after having sex only once previously). So, if you don't care about the story and just want want the sex, it might be worthwhile for you.

That's not even getting into the pseudo-psychic "connection" between the H/h or the fact that he doesn't bother to tell her about a broken condom, then deliberately waits until she can't take a morning after pill -- and the multiple accompanying lectures about how newly conceived babies deserve to live.

As if those things aren't bad enough, the choice of a female narrator who can't do a decent male voice nor a decent southern accent just added to the whole mess.

Not at all interesting.

What would have made Nauti Temptress better?

An interesting story with relatable characters.

What was most disappointing about Lora Leigh’s story?

I suppose, in fairness to other listeners, I should begin by stating that this is not a stand alone novel, and I have not read nor listened to any of Ms. Leigh's other works. I found the characters and plot to be slow to develop and then one dimensional.

How could the performance have been better?

The narrator had difficulty differentiating between male characters while making the female characters whiny.

What character would you cut from Nauti Temptress?

Natches.

Any additional comments?

If you've read all other works by this author, and just have to know about Dawg's sisters, you might like it. Otherwise- just pass it by.

Fairly good plot for romance-narration lacking

What did you like best about Nauti Temptress? What did you like least?

The romance/erotic story. The narration

Who was your favorite character and why?

Eve-smart & sexy

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Manxie Hardy?

Almost anyone...her portrayal of women was fine-her male narration was monotone.

Did Nauti Temptress inspire you to do anything?

Like what?

Any additional comments?

Not Lora Leigh's best...worth a read on sale in my opinion.
