Publisher's summary

Valoree no longer has to masquerade as her murdered brother and scour the oceans as Captain Red. She no longer has to command his pirate band in a quest to regain his birthright. She has been named heir to Ainsley Castle. But no executor would ever hand over the estate to an unmarried pirate wench and her infamous crew - no matter to whom she'd been born. And the will distinctly states that in order to inherit, Valoree must be married to a nobleman...and pregnant.

Upon learning that, the virgin captain is ready to return to the seas - but her crew has other ideas, and for those rascally cusses she would do anything. If they could find a way to put on her a sweet face that would fool the ton, she would handle the rest, even with a drunken prostitute as an "aunt" and her merry cutthroat crew as "servants". But to herself she swears one thing: She will marry only a man who fires her blood, a man who is not afraid of a...Lady Pirate.

Ahoy! No Buried Treasure Here Matey!!!

I thought I hit the jackpot when I saw this book was written by Lynsay Sands and it was about Pirates but it didn't hit the mark for me. It had bits of everything you'd like in a Pirate romance but not enough to give it of that "wow factor" so I'm giving it an overall 3.5 ⚓. It's a shame because it had potential. I'm sure some will disagree with me on this and that's okay....to each his own. My advise, especially if you want to listen to a silly and fun Pirate adventure romance, get "The Windflower" by Laura London.....one of my favorites!! 😉

Kept me interested and entertained from the start

I loved it, narrator was great. Not a boring spot in the entire book. Definitely a must read.

Protecting his Pirate

Lynsay Sands isn’t one of my favorite authors but I had hopes for this book. The idea had so much potential for adventure, espionage and steamy romance.Unfortunately it was dull in comparison.

Didn't finish was annoying.

Narration on mens voices very monotone sounded like a woman trying for a deep voice. Story was too far fetched for my taste ...really I know author was aiming at humor by putting pirates loaded to the hilt with weapons in pink livery but it was too much at that point.

Yes!!!

I loved it! It was a hard start for me and I'm not sure why... but it was so very worth it. I dislike books with powdered wigs and white faces, but it was used well and did a great job of adding humor instead of the huge turn off I usually find it. I really wish this author spent more time on regency or medieval and less on vampires.... but that's me. I could use more Lynsay Sands romance.... just no vamps.

Heat rating, off the chArts without becoming erotica.

Narrator did a fabulous job.

Started out slow but ended with a bang!

The first 2 chapters I was ready to quit, after that I couldn't put it down. Well worth the credit!

Pure Drivel.....

No idea how this got such good reviews, Characters were one dimensional, unbelievable, and spouted drivel. May have been easier to take reading it rather than listening to the narrators over the top British accent. "Hah" instead of "her" - I love the British accent but this was ????

Not a favorite... But it gets a little better.

I really didn't like the heroine at the beginning and that made it less enjoyable to me. It got a little better at the end. Still not enough to make it a story I would recommend.
