Publisher's Summary

A brand new stand-alone romantic comedy from the best-selling, award-winning team of Sarina Bowen & Elle Kennedy.

Hosting her brother's wedding for an MVP guest list is the challenge of Jess Canning's life. Already the family screw-up, she can't afford to fail. And nobody (nobody!) can learn of the colossal mistake she made with the best man during a weak moment last spring. It was wrong, and there will not be a repeat. Absolutely not. Even if he is the sexiest thing on two legs.

Blake Riley sees the wedding as fate's gift to him. Jess is the maid of honor and he's the best man? Let the games begin. So what if he's facing a little (fine, a lot) of resistance? He just needs to convince the stubborn blonde that he's really a good boy with a bad rap. Luckily, every professional hockey player knows that you've got to make an effort if you want to score.

But Jess has more pressing issues to deal with than sexy-times with a giant man-child. Such as: will the ceremony start on time, even though someone got grandma drunk? Does glitter ever belong at a wedding? And is it wrong to murder the best man?

Caution: May cause accidental aspiration of tea or coffee. Do not listen in a public place where loud laughter is inappropriate. Contains hot but hilarious hockey players, puppy cuddling, and a snarky pair of underwear. Cover art copyright Okay Creations.

"Blake Riley makes me smiley-and so does this audio"

Good Boy was fantastic-story, narration, the whole ball of wax. The Blake-isms by the huge puppy dog of a hockey player, Blake Riley, are sure to keep you smiling all day. That and his humongous...heart.

I love all the books of this series (technically, this is book 3 of the Him series) and get ready for the feelings because Jamie and Wes are prominent in the first few chapters. If you've listened to Us, you know why. Good luck keeping the tears at bay, in the best possible way. If you haven't listened to Him and Us, I can't recommend them enough-period. Him is my #1 all time listen because #wesmie.

Teddy Hamilton and Tanya Eby both turn in amazing performances and hit all the right notes with their voice acting skills. Loved this book and can't wait for the next parts of the WAGS series.

Too busy to read as much as I'd like, Audible is the perfect solution. I'm a romance reader mostly, but can stray into any story.

    "Cheezus!"

Blake is the perfect book boyfriend. Alpha, confident, funny, sexy and loyal. His humor made him a character I will want to listen to again and again.

This is a lighthearted, light angst, light drama, hilarious listen. I have loved all of Elle Kennedy and Sarina Bowen's collaborations. They are the perfect duo and I hope to see more.

Tanya Eby is a good narrator. Although I enjoyed this listen, I do think she gets a little nasally at times and it brings me out of the story but it's not enough to even dock a star. But Teddy Hamilton is amazing and I would listen to anything he narrates.

    "what plot?"

This book was well written and I loved the characters, but there was zero plot! No obstacles, no story arc, no climax. I kept waiting for something to happen, then all of a sudden it was over. Two people fell in love. Authors - you can do better, and I really hope you do because I like your style.

"It Got Me Wagging My Tail!"

Could Bowen and Kennedy possibly follow up thier first two books with another hit? Oh, yes, they did! As much as I adored this hero as a secondary character, when given his own book, he stole the spotlight... as well as the heart of the heroine. Absolutely perfect - engaging story with flirty banter, fun moments and endearing characters. Strong narration made it a treat for my ears. Loved this book and can't wait for more WAGS.

    "Cha-esus!!"

Absolutely loved this story! Blake Riley is a love bug and he's swoony, sweet, a teddy bear with big paws but at the same time he's extremely sensuous, loud and a dirty talker. The banter between he and Jessie aka J-Babe is hysterical!! This story made me snort laugh and at times pulled at my heart strings. I love the continuation of Jamie Canning and Ryan Wesley- my two favorite hockey players and my all time favorite fictional couple. I so want more of their story. They need to have a little girl and the book should be named HER!! But, I loved the beginning of the story at the Canning compound in San Rafael. Can't wait for Stay the next WAG story.

As always Teddy Hamilton was absolutely amazeballs! I could not have imagined anyone else performing the role and pulling off Blake!! Bravo!

I didn't like the female narration at all. I actually just read the chapter because I was so disappointed in her depiction of Jessie. It did not fit her character at all.

Would you listen to Good Boy again? Why?

I read the ebook, and then got the audio to enjoy the story all over again. I love Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy and this was a fantastic story. The humor made it one of my favorites. I can't wait for more in this series.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I loved Blake and Teddy Hamilton did a fantastic job. He filled Blake with a cocky frat-boy charm that was adorable and funny all at once.

What about Teddy Hamilton and Tanya Eby ’s performance did you like?

Teddy Hamilton was fantastic as always, He's become one of my all-time favorite narrators. He did a great job with Blake, making him even more hilarious! Tanya Eby, not so much. Something about her voice was annoying and I didn't enjoy the character of Jess nearly as much as I did when I read it.

    "A Good Story"
Where does Good Boy rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Not my favorite story, but it was a good one. I will explain in a bit why It wasn't my favorite story. Also, forgive any grammatical errors; I'm supposed to be studying for my finals and don't have time to revise this review. :-(

Who was your favorite character and why?

Blake was definitely my favorite character. I liked his personality and charm. He is the complete package!

What about Teddy Hamilton and Tanya Eby ’s performance did you like?

The narration was a 5 starts for Teddy Hamilton, but I wasn't so fond of Tanya Eby's. We did not click. I liked the story, but her voice has something that just doesn't convince me.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

What moved me the most was that conversation Blake and Jess had in his Hummer. That was a key moment because Blake finally trusted her to know what was happening. Another scene that was key was when Blake listened to Molly and Jess' conversation. I'm not spoiling anything!

    Any additional comments?

I'm glad I listened to this story. It was a good a story to listen to, and it's definitely one I would go back to and enjoy it. I like how caring Blake is. I definately love his compassion, even when he sometimes hands it to individuals who don't deserve it. I, however, did not like how indecisive Jess was. The entire time I was wondering how can she not see when a person cares for her, but I guess that was the dilemma of the story. She was scared to disappoint her family and all that, but I wanted her to learn that her family would support her no matter what. They showed her their support time and time again. Her family would never be disappointed because they only want the best for her. The signs were all there, but I think she was too blind and scared to see it. Finally, the story did have positives messages for its listeners: the story teaches that its never too late to better your life and start a new career path; trust its earned not handed; honesty its key for relationships to work; trust your instincts; and finally, strong friendships are awesome!

    "Lovely!!!!!"

First, I must say that I'm addicted to the books Him and Us. I'm seriously addicted to them. Listening to Good Boy, I was obsessed with every little snippet that I got of them however tangentially. Their wedding! Tears of happiness! I still wish we had gotten a solid trilogy from them, but I'll take what I can get. Still, I love Blake. I'd like to know him in real life. I appreciate the evolution of his relationship with Jess. I think we could have had a bit more with the Canning/Wesley clan reactions, but I guess few books are perfect. Also, I would have loved a reference or 2 to "chiwillers"😉

"Blake Riley is the funniest lead yet"

I love this book so very much and Blake Riley is the funniest lead I have ever heard of. His relationship with Jess is beautiful and hilarious in equal measures. He is loud and brash but so kind hearted. Jess is loving, strong but lacks confidence. Tanya and Teddy bring these two to life so brilliantly that I was laughing out loud a lot. Highly recommended.
