Publisher's Summary

A brand new stand-alone romantic comedy from the best-selling, award-winning team of Sarina Bowen & Elle Kennedy.

Hosting her brother's wedding for an MVP guest list is the challenge of Jess Canning's life. Already the family screw-up, she can't afford to fail. And nobody (nobody!) can learn of the colossal mistake she made with the best man during a weak moment last spring. It was wrong, and there will not be a repeat. Absolutely not. Even if he is the sexiest thing on two legs.

Blake Riley sees the wedding as fate's gift to him. Jess is the maid of honor and he's the best man? Let the games begin. So what if he's facing a little (fine, a lot) of resistance? He just needs to convince the stubborn blonde that he's really a good boy with a bad rap. Luckily, every professional hockey player knows that you've got to make an effort if you want to score.

But Jess has more pressing issues to deal with than sexy-times with a giant man-child. Such as: will the ceremony start on time, even though someone got grandma drunk? Does glitter ever belong at a wedding? And is it wrong to murder the best man?

Caution: May cause accidental aspiration of tea or coffee. Do not listen in a public place where loud laughter is inappropriate. Contains hot but hilarious hockey players, puppy cuddling, and a snarky pair of underwear. Cover art copyright Okay Creations.

Blake Riley makes me smiley-and so does this audio

Good Boy was fantastic-story, narration, the whole ball of wax. The Blake-isms by the huge puppy dog of a hockey player, Blake Riley, are sure to keep you smiling all day. That and his humongous...heart.

I love all the books of this series (technically, this is book 3 of the Him series) and get ready for the feelings because Jamie and Wes are prominent in the first few chapters. If you've listened to Us, you know why. Good luck keeping the tears at bay, in the best possible way. If you haven't listened to Him and Us, I can't recommend them enough-period. Him is my #1 all time listen because #wesmie.

Teddy Hamilton and Tanya Eby both turn in amazing performances and hit all the right notes with their voice acting skills. Loved this book and can't wait for the next parts of the WAGS series.

Let me start by saying that my review is completely base on the Audiobook and unfortunately the narration didn't work for me and actually made me dislike the characters. I know if I had read this book I would have loved it but I didn't. The narrators are both good narrators but the female narrator narrated 80% of this book and she really didn't fit, she made Jess sound too old and honestly made her seem like a snobby B*tch and I don't think she was supposed to be, just like I think Blake was supposed to be a fun loving playful guy and her voice/tone for him made his seem dumb and kinda of like an air head. The entire time I was listening I was thinking that another narrator would have brought these characters both about in a different light. I am not bashing her, I just really feel like she was not the right choice for this book.

The story itself was sweet and sexy and exactly what I expected from these authors! I was excited to get a little Will & Jamie time too! I've still got high hopes for the next book in this series.

what plot?

This book was well written and I loved the characters, but there was zero plot! No obstacles, no story arc, no climax. I kept waiting for something to happen, then all of a sudden it was over. Two people fell in love. Authors - you can do better, and I really hope you do because I like your style.

Cha-esus

Absolutely loved this story. Blake Riley is such a love bug and he's oh so swoony, sweet, a teddy bear with big paws but at the same time he is sensuous, loud and a dirty talker! The banter between he and Jess is hysterical!! I loved the continuation of Jamie and Wes and it just warmed my heart and soul.
Teddy Hamilton as Blake was amazing as always!
My first listen by Tanya Eby.

This is not an LGBT romance novel!

After listening to two LGBT romance novels by the same authors, both very enjoyable, I decided to look for another. This novel continues the story from the first two, LGBT, however follows a different character. Honest mistake. That said, wow what a difference, and not a positive one. The male narrator from the first two novels continues in this novel. He is exceptional. The female narrator I am fairly sure is Google Voice. She lacks even the remotest sense of believability. When she attempts the male part, a rough and tumble pro hockey player, she sounds more like a fourteen year old lesbian. I wasn't even certain when the dialog changed between her characters. Her voice rendition of the lead characters boyfriend really leads us to question why the lead character is dating an obviously flaming gay man. I'm not certain that was the authors intent. Lastly, for a book written by two women, they are much more adept at working the nuances of gay sex than the are at straight sex. Their gay sex scenes are sultry and tender, well thought out, and not over the top (no pun intended). Their straight sex scenes seem like they were written by a combination of truck drivers and inexperienced teen aged boys.

Eh...

Loved Blake (as I did in Us as well). I was kinda "meh" on Jess which could be because I found the female narrator to be too robotic. Her voice kept pulling me out of the story.

Warm and Fuzzy

This author Sarina Bowen is magnificent. Her books have this way of making you feel all warm and fuzzy. You'll find yourself smiling like a fool while reading them.

Her books contain the exact balance of love, humor, great sex scenes, drama, and hot characters any book needs to be a great read.

One of my favorite this year.

Blake Riley is the funniest lead yet

I love this book so very much and Blake Riley is the funniest lead I have ever heard of. His relationship with Jess is beautiful and hilarious in equal measures. He is loud and brash but so kind hearted. Jess is loving, strong but lacks confidence. Tanya and Teddy bring these two to life so brilliantly that I was laughing out loud a lot. Highly recommended.

Humorous and enjoyable.

Loved Blake! He was annoying, arrogant, juvenile, charming, larger than life and hiding such a huge heart, caring for friends, family and furry critters all at the same time. A good story worth listening to. Will make you laugh out loud as well as cringe. Loved it.

Love this series!

As the first book in the WAGS series, or the third book in the HIM series, Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy continue to have a winner. Meeting Jess and Blake in book 2, we got a glimpse of their personalities, especially Blake. He is the wise-cracking, fun friend who lives upstairs from Wes and Jamie. After a one night stand, Blake and Jess can't seem to let each other go. While no huge climactic scenes, but the story itself if pure entertainment. There is some drama with Blake's past that needs to be handled, as well as Jess coming into her own. The family interaction from both sides is the best part of the book for me. I love Blake's mom, she is larger than life, much like her son. Love seeing Wes, Jamie and the team as well, it gives such continuity to the story.

The two narrators are wonderful. I love them both. Tanya Eby gives Jess that warm voice with some angst as she runs through her crazy life, and Teddy Hamilton is the gruff and sensual Blake. The two compliment each other well.

Yes and no

For me the first 1/2 of this book didn’t grab me I was even thinking I’m going to give up so I listened in a faster speed then with about 3 hrs left I loved it, so I’m on the fence with the his book maybe having 2 authors I resonated to one style of writing to the other

It not a book I’d listen to again but I bought the next in the series.

The narrators were great 👍 I liked them both

Voice

I really love this story, and Teddy did a great job with Blake, but I feel like the woman's voice was too old for the character...
