Stick with it to the end

I nearly quit listening to this book when the inevitable misunderstanding happened halfway through it and I didn't want to deal with angst through the rest. However, the angst, while lasting longer than I like, did wrap up quickly enough that I was able to get to the end and really enjoy the way the characters finally came together. By then, I felt very invested in both Nicola and Marcus, wanting to continue reading the series to find out more about them and the rest of the Sullivans. The steam factor on this book was even higher than the first, so brace yourself if you're looking for a simple romance novel. That said, it is tastefully done and clearly surrounded by love. I just love a good happily ever after story!

I'm hooked

I enjoyed listening to the first book. Although I enjoy the first story better and some of the sexy scene seem similar to the first I still thought this was very sexy and enjoyable.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes...Bella Andre has developed a wonderful family with the Sullivan's. Who wouldn't love six hunky men! The story is somewhat light and predictable but is an enjoyable and light-hearted romance with enough steamy scenes to keep your attention. In this book, the second of the series, eldest brother Marcus meets up with younger pop star Nicola. Initially he cannot get past the age difference between them but also cannot deny his ever-growing attraction for Nicola. Marcus is rather controlling and uptight but Nicola brings out his best for the ultimate happy ending.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Marcus I guess. He tries to be so in control but he's really a softee underneath and really loves his family. He would do anything for them.

Which character – as performed by Eva Kaminsky – was your favorite?

Eva does a great job with all the characters and is consistent across the audiobooks.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Age does't matter.

I really enjoy how Andre sets up the next book in each book in the series and typically ties up an end from the previous book. I have all the Sullivan books either in e-reader or audio formats. Also gotta love the $1.99 audiobook after purchasing the Kindle fomat. Those wispersync deals are going to break me!

Standard fluff story

The premise of this book was kind of the typical thing...boy meets girl, either boy or girl or both want to deny their feelings, and we have 7 hours of should we or shouldn't we?

Nothing heart wrenching, nothing explored too deeply, it's a fluff read, which is what I was in the mood for. There was a bit of steam and sexual tension which bumped it up to a 4, but if the male lead hadn't been a little dominating in the bedroom it would have been a 3.5 based on story content.

My advice, put this series in your wish list and that way you will know when it goes on sale. They aren't worth credits, but they are nice for a light listen.

From this moment is the great second installment in the Sullivan book series from Bella Andre.

Marcus is 36 years old and has just gotten out of the relationship because he catches his girlfriend with another man in bed. He decides to go out and have a night on the town, meet a woman and take her to bed., No strings, no expectations.

Nicola is a pop star with the reputation of a party girl who never spends the night alone. The truth is quite the opposite. So she decides for one night, since the tabloids say she's a party girl she WILL go out to a club, find someone to take to bed, no strings new expectations.

So Mark Marcus and Nicola meet at a club. He has no idea that while she looks familiar, she is the rock star Nico famous all over the globe.

From the club, to the hotel room the relationship begins begins in a strange way.

Bella Andre is a writer in a particular style and she is the master.

Eva Kaminski does a wonderful job reading.. She has a smooth voice and is a good storyteller.

Credit worthy/$: These books are included in sales quite often. I wait and buy them for a 2-for-1 credit, etc. offer when they come up. I am listening to them in order so this is only the second book from the series. I will wait for a sale to get numbers 3-7 and I already have 8 through 10. For that reason I save my credit. However, they are relatively inexpensive to purchase especially on sale.

I literally cried when he hit(spanked) her.

Book was ok until the very end when the Male main character carried through on his threat to "spank" the female lead character. I find nothing loving about leaving your hand print on another person.

I hated it.

I know this is a romance but that doesn't mean it needs to be stupid. I don't know which one was worse the narrator or the story. I couldn't even finish this book I was almost to the end but I thought if I had to listen to that narrator's voice for one more minute I would be sick. I turned it off. I've never listened/read a Bella Andre book before and I think any male would be insulted by the dialog. Real men do not talk, act or think like that...if they did I'd be single. Yuck!

I kept asking myself if I would like the story better if I read it (I really hated the narrator). I won't be getting any others by this author or narrator. I guess everyone is different and some will love this book but it just wasn't for me.

Practically pornographic

I made the mistake of downloading the first 2 books in this series at the same time, rather than listening to the 1st one and then NOT getting the second one. I got about 3/4 of the way through the first one, and had to stop. So then I tried the second one thinking it would be different-- it's not. I like a little steamy romance too, but sheesh this is practically porn. Plus there is ZERO storyline. She meets the guy and is all of a sudden trembling with need. Puhh-leeease.
