Publisher's summary

Beth Brown’s dream feels so real: a mysterious stranger is gunned down during a violent airplane hijacking, and there’s nothing Beth can do to stop it. But Beth doesn’t believe in premonitions - or does she? How else can she explain the intense connection she feels to the gorgeous man in her dream whom she’s never met? A man she’s determined to save....

Navy SEAL Zane Winters lives for the job, relying on his psychic abilities to keep his fellow soldiers alive. No woman has been able to break through his tough-as-nails warrior mentality - until the day he meets a beautiful blonde who sets his soul on fire. There’s just one problem: Beth is convinced he’s about to die.

To save Zane and the other airline passengers - and to thwart the global crisis the hijacking will unleash - Beth and Zane join forces. But even amid the danger, they can’t deny the powerful force drawing them together. Is it merely attraction…or destiny?

I'm a fan!

This is my first experience with this author and I've enjoyed her way of writing very much. Unfortunately the narrator's performance was not enjoyable. I pressed on though since I was intrigued by the plot and the fact that the second book in the Forged series has a different narrator. I do recommend this book. Perhaps the narrator will not be a problem for other listeners (?).

Excessively Violent

Violence to women and children.
High body count.
Author kills off good men so their wives will be available for matching up with one of the Seals in later books. Why can't she just create new women?

this is a very sweet love story mixed with mystery action an humor. I think I might have liked it better if it would have been narrated by a male. I enjoyed the book very much an I would refer it

Interesting plot...poor story development

I like the plot. It's interesting and entertaining. However, the story development makes zero sense in some areas. If, let's say, you had a plot that included so many compromised folk that your characters avoid including local law enforcement for the assist, why would you then just head to the local hospital with your rescues and wounded and let unknown medical staff take off with any and all of them while you not only sit your rear in a waiting room but also take off to go to a compromised location to "get some clothes." While you're there, hey, "oh look... a bed" Yeah, no. Everyone is on high freaking alert to not trust anyone then suddenly, with the danger most definitely not over, the extent of your security check is making sure an emergency exit is locked. She needed a beta reader to stop that from happening because the plot is really worth sealing the gaps.

Because the plot is worth it, I'm heading to book 2. Angela Dawe is a great narrator. Her best work, in my opinion, is on the Psy-Changling series by Nalini Singh. If you haven't gone there yet, the world building is amazing, the characters are complex and the plots of each story within the larger series are not copy/paste like so many series end up being.

At this time, I'm saying that despite the plot holes, this story and the possibilities for this series are worth exploring.

Paranormal and a Navy Seal....what's not to like?

This book was fast paced and kept me on the edge the whole time. I loved the whole paranormal angle…it works here. The chemistry between Zane and Beth was hot. She had trust issues but Zane did not give up. I hated when it ended because I wanted to listen about the whole seal team 7. Can not wait for the next book!!!

It's alright.

I liked the book okay but I didn't love it. There is lots of action which usually worked, but the Seals where constantly distracted by unimportant things which was distracting. The romance was an instant soul mate attraction. I don't normally care one way or another on how much time it takes but I felt the romance was a little off putting. The one thing that bugged me about this book was that the main characters would start to make out at the most inappropriate of times. Don't get me wrong I usually like make out sessions in books. It was the timing and places that was off. Plus Beth was always going to put her foot down, but as soon as she saw Zane pound his chest it was "ohh me Jane you Tarzan kiss me stupid". I probably won't continue on with this series because I have so many other books to read that may be my next obsession, this one for sure isn't it. The narrator does an okay job, I have listened to her before and I do like her but she is a little on the monotone side. I recommend Suzanne Brockmann's Troubleshooter series for awesome Seal/Romance stories.

I can hardly wait for more in the series...

I enjoy the stories of the SEALs, especially by Susan Brockman. This series looks like it will be just as good! Worth the credit or price.
