When literature student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realize she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana’s quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too - but on his own terms.

Shocked yet thrilled by Grey’s singular erotic tastes, Ana hesitates. For all the trappings of success - his multinational businesses, his vast wealth, his loving family - Grey is a man tormented by demons and consumed by the need to control. When the couple embarks on a daring, passionately physical affair, Ana discovers Christian Grey’s secrets and explores her own dark desires.

This audiobook is intended for mature audiences.

Look for E L James’ passionate new love story, The Mister, coming April 16, 2019.

Sexy as, all get out!!

Would you listen to Fifty Shades of Grey again? Why?

yes, even though it got a little hard to listen to her sometimes, i really enjoyed the hands free listening. I can listen to it wilthout stopping. In the car or the store did'nt matter.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Christian Grey

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

I liked how much she got into the book, but i did'nt like how she went over every little detail in the book, maily the emails, it drove me insane, i fast forwarded through most of it after a while.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When she told him to grow up and go jump at the same time.

Any additional comments?

I would read this series over and over again, it is one of my top 5 series. But i will buy the books from now on, the audio version cost way too much,

Worth the coin?

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

A few gem moments...to me, its overrated and honestly the narrator is distasteful to me...sorry.. just an honest opinion

What did you like best about this story?

the banter in the emails.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Becca Battoe?

Amanda Ronconi no question

What would have made this romance irresistible?

honestly a better narrator, maybe...

Any additional comments?

how many ways can you say black, white, black, white... so far.. 2 books of repeated dialect over n over again... wasted my credits on this series I fear :(

Fifty Shades of Grey

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Only with fair warning, I hated the narrator. I am not sure if it is how the story was written or the narrator but quite often it sounded like word of the day toilet paper was being used and that did not work.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

The third part was the best.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Becca Battoe?

almost anyone else, perhaps a male and a female?

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

NO

Any additional comments?

I had a hard time getting through the first two parts of the story, but I am glad that I did. Here is to hoping that the story line of the second book is as good as the last part of this one.

Sloooooow narrator

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

It was okay once you sped up the audio. The narrator was so slow, I thought she was medicated.

Would you be willing to try another book from E. L. James? Why or why not?

Yes. There was so much hype, I wanted to read/hear it for myself. All of it.

Did Becca Battoe do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

I had to speed her up to 1.5; but I think she did I good job based on that.

Could you see Fifty Shades of Grey being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

That point is moot.

Any additional comments?

The author is a bit long winded. The pacing is off.

voice is kind of annoying, the story is ok and the wording (for me) is a bit off putting
