When literature student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realize she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana’s quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too - but on his own terms.

Shocked yet thrilled by Grey’s singular erotic tastes, Ana hesitates. For all the trappings of success - his multinational businesses, his vast wealth, his loving family - Grey is a man tormented by demons and consumed by the need to control. When the couple embarks on a daring, passionately physical affair, Ana discovers Christian Grey’s secrets and explores her own dark desires.

This audiobook is intended for mature audiences.

Look for E L James’ passionate new love story, The Mister, coming April 16, 2019.

Not your typical story line

Not for the faint of heart for sure! The book deals with an erotic bdsm theme, although they keep it a little mild, I found it to be intriguing and a definite attention grabber. Not your typical love story, but is a love story none the less, and an interesting one for sure. The narrator did a good job with Anastasia but she made the male voice seem a bit to feminine for my liking.

Porn for lonely housewives! A different narrator would improve my overall rating of this novel!

Good times!

I love this series, and the narrator did a pretty good job! I can get swept away in this series over and over and still enjoy it as much as I did the first time. The pace can be a little drug out at times, but not so much to lose my attention.

Dom and submissive wow

Would you consider the audio edition of Fifty Shades of Grey to be better than the print version?

Never looked at the printed version could not answer this question

What other book might you compare Fifty Shades of Grey to and why?

Not sure this is the first kind of book like this that I've read it was recommended by a friend although I More intrigued to read more books like this.

What about Becca Battoe’s performance did you like?

Love the way that Becca Battoe changes her voice for certain characters not to mention adds emphasis to certain scenes. She was a pleasure to listen too.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

This book start you off right away In a scene that's kind of sucks you in a little bit. And then it leads to another scene and another scene it it's hard to stop reading the book because every time they pull up another scene you need to know what else is going to happen next so yes.

Any additional comments?

A friend recommended this book to me. And I'm grateful that she did. This is a males perspective. And I'm not one for these kind of books. But the dominant submissive position give me a different outlook that would otherwise not have been betrayed in my life. This book was very interesting. And go even though the descriptions of certain intimate scenes were I think a little overdone it was overall still had a very good storyline in the book.

How many times can these characters "clamber"

I enjoyed listening to this story except for hearing the word "clamber" so many times. Does this author continue using this word for the future books? Kind of grated on my nerves.
