Publisher's Summary

Jace Crestwell, Ash McIntyre, and Gabe Hamilton have been best friends and successful business partners for years. They’re powerful, they’re imposing, they’re irresistibly sexy, and Jace and Ash share everything - including their women. When they meet Bethany, Jace begins to feel things he’s never experienced before: jealousy and a powerful obsession that threatens him, overwhelms him - and excites him beyond control. Jace isn’t sharing Bethany - with anyone. He’s determined to be the only man in her life, and it’s jeopardizing a lifelong friendship with Ash. Bethany will be his and his alone. Even if it means turning his back on his best friend.

Jace and Bethany

Which character – as performed by Adam Paul – was your favorite?

Jace is a dominant bordering on domineering. Personally I'm more a fan of Gabe but they're all pretty domineering.

Any additional comments?

The stories are good don't get me wrong I'm just tired of dominants being portrayed as domineering.

Rags to Riches, Again!

There is nothing new or spectacular about this story line, the characters, their situations and relationships. It is a solid effort by Maya Banks and what you would expect from this author in writing style, plot line and conclusion. If you like Banks, you'll like the book.

Wow

If you could sum up Fever in three words, what would they be?

Turned me on

What was one of the most memorable moments of Fever?

I'm not sure how to choose. Seriously I'm allowed to say this (this is my very first time writing an Audible review!), but oh my goodness ALL of the sex scenes were awesome. Let me just say my husband is very, very grateful to Maya Banks and so am I.

What about Adam Paul’s performance did you like?

Love how he sounded reading the male characters. Not so much when he was reading for the females. I think the book could've been even more HOT with a male and female voice.

Any additional comments?

I have two problems with this book. 50 shades has already been written. There were entirely too many similarities. Thankfully there were enough things thrown in there to not totally irritate me. I guess I shouldn't mention them all since there may be 2 or 3 people on earth who haven't read that series yet but honestly I could make a very very long list. My only other problem with the book, and this one irritated me more than the first has to do with the writing in general. I read the first book in the series, Rush followed by this one, Fever. I've never read anything by her before and I enjoyed Rush. While listening to Fever I couldn't believe she could not come up with different comments and phrases. I get that they're both dominant men and they're best friends but in reality would they say the exact same phrases when talking and thinking?? Ok so that may not irritate anyone else but listening to it right after I'd listened to the first book made it SO obvious!! Besides those two things I enjoyed both books and I've already downloaded Burn!

So steamy, intensive and pulls you right in, finished in less than a day. Can't wait for the next installment

Smoking Hot Romance

Maya Banks never fails to strike the right balance in romance and erotica. I loved Fever, but it started out surprising me because I rather expected Jace and Ash to find a woman of their own to share and keep. However, this is not the case. This is Jace's love story and it's a great one. I won't give any more spoilers than that.

I will say that Adam Paul's narration completely nails Jace's character right down to the brooding, sexual intensity. The sex scenes are so hot, steam practically comes out the headphones. Adam Paul is fairly new to narrating books here, but I look forward to hearing more from him.

Loved it!

The second book in this series was perfectly narrated with just the right amount of emotion to draw the listener in. I have to confess I stayed up all night listening to this audiobook! Highly recommend!
