Publisher's Summary

Bestselling author Kresley Cole continues her seductive Immortals After Dark series with this tale of a vampire shunned even by his own kind and a beautiful phantom, bound together by a passion they cannot resist.

A RAVEN-HAIRED TEMPTRESS OF THE DARK...

Néomi Laress, a famous ballerina from a past century, became a phantom the night she was murdered. Imbued with otherworldly powers but invisible to the living, she haunts her beloved home, scaring away trespassers - until she encounters a ruthless immortal even more terrifying than Néomi herself.

A VAMPIRE WARRIOR CONSUMED BY MADNESS...

To prevent him from harming others, Conrad Wroth's brothers imprison him in an abandoned manor. But there, a female only he can see seems determined to drive him further into madness. The exquisite creature torments him with desire, leaving his body racked with lust and his soul torn as he finds himself coveting her for his own.

HOW FAR WILL HE GO TO CLAIM HER?

Yet even if Conrad can win Néomi, evil still surrounds her. Once he returns to the brutality of his past to protect her, will he succumb to the dark needs seething inside him?

Not my favorite so far. but I'm guessing its setting the scene for the next book which is about Cade. The narrator was wonderful as always; I just didn't care as much for the story line.

What made the experience of listening to Dark Needs at Night's Edge: Immortals After Dark, Book 5 the most enjoyable?

    It had good pacing.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Dark Needs at Night's Edge: Immortals After Dark, Book 5?

I liked the part where she's described my the main male as sort of lurking around unseen by others. It's a bit creepy.

Have you listened to any of Robert Petkoff’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I don't recall if I've listened to him before. This was very easy to listen to.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Love on the edge of death? Don't really know.

    Any additional comments?

I enjoyed this and I'm glad because I've already bought several other books in the series while they were on sale. This book is part five I think but it stands up fine to be read by itself, and it is in fact the only book out of this series I've read so far. The main characters are a male vampire who's several centuries old and the woman is the ghost of a jazz age ballerina who was murdered by her fiance in New Orleans.

Loved it! I laughed out loud and had to replay the part when Nix asked to lick the demons long horns.
The narrator was amazing as usual.

    "Can't get enough.."

I love all of IAD but this one is in my top 3. I've listened and relistened at least five times. I cant get over how sexy and great the stories mesh together. And Robert Petkoff... *fans myself* is an AMAZING narrator! He put life and personality into every character and every book he reads, its unreal!

Kresley cole outdoes herself yet again; the intense Conrad will steal your heart and the wisp Neomi will make it sing. Robert Petkoff's consistent voices for individuals marvel; despite varied accents you can tell persons within them so well.

    "More supernatural creatures created!"

Similar but different than others in the series. Still sexy hot as only Kresley Cole can dish out but unique in the addition of a new paranormal character. Characters from other stories continue to migrate in and out, either by mention or active participation in the story. I don't know how Petkoff keeps them all straight but he does a great job!
