Publisher's Summary

Ella's always heard voices and because of them, she ends up institutionalized at a young age. Everyone calls her crazy and she believes she is too until the night she meets a vampire and for the first time in her life, the voices shut up.

Zane just wants to enjoy his usual blood buffet; instead he runs into a wisp of a woman who makes him feel emotions he thought long dead. Rescuing her from the insane asylum, he brings her home, determined to seduce and feed from her, a plan that is foiled by ghostly voices determined to keep Ella untouched. But not even poltergeists can stand in the way of a vampire in love.

I must have been Crazy...

The synopsis and reviews gave me hope that this could be a good story, but sadly I was disappointed. The only saving grace was the big reveal/cliffhanger ending, but I will not continue this series.

"they call me crazy, I just can't speak"

what can I say about this besides it ended anti-climactic and it was a very short story even though I enjoyed myself I just wish there was more that's all... but thank you Eve Langlais for writing this. Now waiting for the second book!, Next year here we come...

Good story!

This was well written and performed. The storyline is what made the story stand out for me. It is fast paced and unique. You can't help but fall for these characters. Would like the story to continue.

Loved it

I was on the edge of my seat listening to this book. The twists and turns that I didn’t anticipate kept me glued to the iPad. The narration was done really neat. The female read when we was in Ella’s point of view, and the male read Zane’s point of view. Not like the normal dialogue driven voice changes. I really enjoyed this setup. It was easy to follow along and just know who’s thinking what. The characters are developed, and do grow throughout the story line. I do however wished there was more development with the voices in Ella’s head. Like for example, what are their names, or are they disembodied voices that blend and she has no clue who’s saying what. There are a lot of them, I just was curious if there was some that stood out more than others. Overall it was a fantastic read, great story, great characters, great narration.

Differently fun

This book was very cute the narration was excellent. May give you a new way To look at what many see as mental illness. Depending on whether or not you believe we may have more then the 5 senses. And of course just enough romance to make it hot & sweet.

Crazy Spooky

Ella can hear voices. Has been able to since she was a child. They never shut up. Suddenly one night a stranger visits the insane asylum, quieting the voices.
Zane, a vampire, is hungry. He goes to his usual buffet, insane asylum, and is startled that one of the patients isn't sleeping. She talks to him unafraid. Who is this crazy girl who isn't afraid of him?
Very cute story with some funny scenes. Wonderful.

Great story, great narrator!

I loved the energy in this story, from both Langlais and Morton. It was a fun, cozy paranormal romance and I can’t wait for more!

Cliffhanger

I really hope that their is another book after this one considering the massive cliffhanger and ton of unanswered questions.

Meh.

Not a whole lot of plot to this story. I love supernatural romance but this seemed like a raunchy knock-off of the Twilight series meets Girl Interrupted. On the bright side, I was able to finish it.
