an interesting romance

this story tells of interesting romance between two completely opposite people. it has an interesting universe with a lot of sci fi concepts.

EXCELLENT narration of the book. The story was typical Sherrilyn...but the narration MADE the book!!!! Kelly Fish did an outstanding job with ALL the voices...giving each character a different voice. awesome experience!!!!!

Once again, I am awed by Sherrilyn's ability to warm my soul! I can't wait to read the next book!

pretty good performance.

The narrator was pretty good, but a bit put off-ish she used multiple different accents for the different characters which is great but they didn't really match the characters. As this is the first book in the series (unless you listen in chronological order, then it's Born of Defiance) you will not have any other background info besides what is provided in the book and it won't relate.

All in all, this is a good listen with a great tortured hero and a damsel who can't help but need to be rescued no matter how many times she thinks she can take care of herself.

I love this book! It’s hands down one of my favorites. I’ve read it at least 4 times and this was my first time listening to it and it was so so enjoyable. I love all the voices Kelly Fish can do for everyone! And SK is a queen as always! Would 100% recommend!

Love Love Love!

This book is so wonderful as well as the ones after it. I read this book by paperback first and it is go wonderful I had to buy it on Audible! Great action, sci-fi and romance! I even advised my daughter to read this one and it is not often I do that since romance is not her main reading material. Total 5 stars, maybe 6 in my opinion. Worth it!

Nykyrian Quikiades

I absolutely love the League series. And hearing the audio is a whole different experience. I didn’t think I was going to be too happy with a female narrator but it worked! She was so good!
The whole emotionless assassin, deadliest of the deadly 🔥🔥🔥
Nykyrian’s story is brutal. His past is horrific. How he became the man he is and not a monster is a complete mystery. I love that he stands up for those who can’t defend themselves.
Kiara, you both love & hate her. Her naivety is dumbfounding. You think, she gets it. She understands Nykyrian & his crew. She sees past the armor. But no. She proves you wrong a lot! Like girl. He only assassinated those men who were seconds away from killing you to PROTECT you! And she judges him for it. 😒
I can’t wait to hear the rest of this series on audio.
