Publisher's summary

I wasn't looking to fall for one man. Let alone two...

Sullivan and Will are as close as two friends can be. Growing up in the system forced them to rely on each other, and they've become accustomed to sharing everything - including women.

Now they're ready for more. To find love. To start a family. To see the dreams they've shared since childhood come true.

Apparently I tick off every box on their list - brains, beauty, and sass. I never hesitate to put both men in their places - which they find sexy as hell.

One problem, I'm a traditional girl, with traditional values - one man, one woman, till death do us part - kind of values.

They're willing to work to prove how very right the three of us could be, but what happens next is anyone's guess....

A great book, with superb narration.

I have to say that when I first heard about this book I was over the moon excited. I love that this book was more about the relationship between the three characters and less about the sex, although, there is plenty of that too. It’s been described as MMF, however, personally I’d describe it as MFM with some MM scenes, as to my knowledge, and I’d remember if it had happened, there were no scenes that included MM with the female present and I would’ve loved that to be included to see how their dynamic changed in the bedroom. This isn’t a complaint merely an observation. Ok, honestly, I wanted some MMF in my life – I think Lola Leighton would do a marvelous job with it, she knows how to balance sexy and emotions. Chapter 27 is on FIRE, I’m sure some of it was used in a FB bedtime read post at one point…or, maybe I just wish it was. It definitely felt familiar…maybe I imagined them to life? Either way, it was the sexiest scene.

The dynamic of this relationship is really what this book is about and I love that it focuses on that. Although this book is super sexy, the sex scenes don’t drown out the story. It is emotional at times, humorous, and sweet. I loved the chemistry between the three of them and thought it was palpable from early on. I adored that it came across as more of a real-life relationship, rather than just fiction, you could imagine the issues they faced and how people would react and how they would deal with that.

The characters in this story are wonderful. I loved Will, Sullivan, and Adrienne (for the most part, more about that in a moment). Let’s talk about these characters. First, we have Will, who is more the strong and silent one. He’s so gentle with Adrienne that it’s the sweetest thing to observe. Add in his clear feelings for Sully and I was smitten. I wish we had more chapters from his PoV, as it felt more like Sullivan and Adrienne’s story with a few Will chapters thrown in for good measure. A lot of changes happened for him, I would have liked to spend more time in his head and seeing how he handled the transition. Then we have Sullivan, he’s more the laid-back, funny, and knows what he wants, guy. His attraction to Adrienne was instant and pairing that with his obvious attraction to Will just had me swooning. I loved that we got so much from his PoV. He’s such a sweetheart. Lastly, we have Adrienne. She’s sweet, sassy, and doesn’t take any crap. I loved her for the most part until chapter 25 – I hated the way she reacted to her family and the way she treated the men she claimed to love. I felt she needed to earn back their trust, instead of them winning her back. I even had to stop listening for a minute because I was so wound up about it, then, I loved her again, once things got sorted. I still say she should have groveled some.

I do wish the book was a little longer. I felt some parts needed to be extended, and some needed to be included. For example, when the guys are trying to win Adrienne back, they have a discussion with her family, I’d have liked for that to be included so we could see the change in her parents, know what actually won them over since they were so against it. Rather than just, we’ve spoken to them and they’re ok with it now. The only other thing was that I wasn’t always sure how much time had passed, it felt like it occasionally jumped from one scene to another rather than a smooth transition. With that being said, I really enjoyed the book and would definitely listen to it again, and listen to more from Lola.

The narrators were absolutely wonderful. The casting was great, I do feel like Jacob Morgan was more suited to the character of Will, and Jason Clarke to Sullivan, but, that’s just my thoughts. Nobody said I wasn’t a picky listener. They did a fantastic job regardless. Ava Erickson was pure perfection as Adrienne, her voice has the sweet quality that I felt was necessary for the character. Throughout the book she really killed it, she embodied the character so well. I thought chapter 27 was performed brilliantly by Jacob Morgan, he nailed the emotion, insecurity, and sexiness of the scene…and the book, really. And, Jason Clarke’s performance was captivating, even though it’s only a small portion of the book. All three of the narrators complemented each other. The production was great with no issues of note.

Bedfellows

New to me author, I wanted to OMG love this book because MMF and I need more MMF in my life like yesterday but sadly it was OMG love, it was just OMG liked.

100% love Sullivan and Will they are so sweet and cute let’s be honest. They know what they want and they go for it. No, if and's or buts. Only there were some buts… They said they didn’t get jealous of each other but that is kind of a lie. Once Adrienne accepts the offer to date both men there is some jealousy when I was really hoping there wouldn’t be. Thankfully they do talk it out but I just wasn’t expecting that.

I don’t know how I feel about the MM part not being there right away. I can see maybe they didn’t want to rock the boat and with Adrienne in the mix, she helped them see what they didn’t want to see before. Overall I enjoyed the book I just wanted something more. More story, not more drama.

The narration is freaking FANTASTIC I love all three of these voices and they really do bring emotion to this book. I would listen to more by them and this author.

All I can say is... wow!!

Adrienne has met two incredible men who shared everything... a house, business, women.... even undies. (gasp!) Will and Sullivan were two awesome buddies who wanted everything equal and don't keep secrets. Adrienne couldn't get enough of both of them, and she might even be in love. But with whom?

Two heads are indeed better than one, that's for sure. Bedfellows by Lola Leighton is my first ménage story and it didn't disappoint. Listening to three different voices and getting to know the characters as they delved into this taboo relationship has been one exciting experience.

Lola Leighton is a pseudonym of a best selling author who had continuously impressed me. To date, this is the most daring I've read and heard from her and the story is quite unconventional. This is definitely one of her great stories yet!

Not a typical threesome...

This book is not only erotically hot, but also a beautiful love story.
The author walks us through a polyamorous relationship that works very well once the kinks are ironed out. Instead of 3 people just jumping in and going at it, she builds 1 on 1 relationships, then makes it work as a whole. Making this listen about the love and romance not just sex. The writing coupled with the narration made this a very enjoyable experience. Definitely credit worthy.

This was a sweet Menage Romance. I loved the characters and the uniqueness to each personality. I also loved the dynamic of their relationship. I would have loved to see more though. More of the guys exploring and also exploring with Adrienne. Exploring this new dynamic that they were just growing to accept.

The narration was fantastic. They brought these characters to life in the best way.

Great read!

Unique and Lovable

I love the idea behind this story. Showing a story behind, not a necessarily a kinky ménage relationship (although there was that), but a real ménage relationship.

I do think there were some plot holes that should have been plugged up, could have gone into the men’s past to give the reader a deeper connection to the characters and should have been a more in depth showing of the parents response after a blatant rejection(you’ll have to listen to understand). I don’t think it was enough to detract from the overall enjoyment of the message of this book. I loved the individual battles they all to face and overcome. I loved the intense attraction and crazy hot sex scenes. Most of all, I loved the narration.

Ava, Jacob and Jason were freaking on fire with their narration. Perfection for these characters. I will definitely be listening to this book again and again.

Sweet Menage

I am quickly falling in love with menages like this. Just when you think its going to be your everyday MFM story, two characters begin to realize there is more between them then just sharing a 3rd person. This book helped make me fall in love with these types of books. The relationships between the individual characters and the relationship as a whole is so unique and loving. I love how Adrienne has different jokes and quirks with each of the guys.

The narration was great! Ava seems to have found her niche with the menage genre!

Meh

It was a slow burn feel good romance. For the genre I expected a lot more steam. The issues they had was realistic, but the way they solved it was to easy and not very believable. Narration was ok, can't go wrong with Jacob and Jason, I wish Jason had more scenes though. Not one I'll be listening to again though and would not recommend it.

Hot and Heavy with an Emotional Pull.

When I first saw this book was to be released I knew I had to have it. It was even more than I expected.
This isn’t just a menage book. There are plenty of hot and steamy scenes but this story went a little deeper. The author takes you into the dynamic of a ménage relationship and how each partner plays a role not only physically but emotionally.
I listened to this on audio and I couldn’t get enough!!!
All three narrators were FANTASTIC!!
Not only did they sound their parts but they flowed together in their performance.
Jacob Morgan, Ava Erickson and Jason Clarke are three of my go to narrators so having them collaborate on this story was EPIC!!
Will is reserved and has a very male presence which was perfect for Jason Clarke. He totally nailed it! Then Sullivan is the easy going and relaxed fun one of the two men where Jacob Morgan brought his A game with his interpretation. Then of course you have Adrienne who is the timid yet beautiful woman who comes into their lives and Ava Erickson fit the role to a T.
All in all, this was a favorite Listen of mine and I can’t wait for more from Lola Leighton!!!!

Bedfellows

Spoiler alert

Two guys looking for the perfect woman to share. And , oh no I’m not gay. Felt like a remake. Narration was good. Story was good. Very predictable.
