Publisher's Summary

New York Times best-selling author Johanna Lindsey now reveals the tempestuous story of Jacqueline Malory, whose furious desire for revenge leads to a confrontation with the handsome pirate who abducted her - and sparks a much steamier kind of desire.

For the first time, James Malory and his Anderson in-laws agree on something: It's payback time for the culprit who kidnapped James and Georgina's beloved daughter, Jack, from her American debutante party and whisked her away to the Caribbean, no matter that she escaped unscathed. James figured out who masterminded the dastardly plot and is leading a fleet of ships to the West Indies to deliver some Malory-style retribution.

More interested in revenge than in finding a husband during her first London Season, Jack is furious that her father left her behind. Then an intriguing stranger leads her and her older brother, Jeremy, to her mysterious abductor. But instead of capturing him, the Malory siblings wind up as his "guests" on a ship sailing away from England. As Jack reengages in a battle of wills with her all too attentive captor, she realizes he is no ordinary pirate, perhaps no pirate at all, but a nobleman determined to settle a score that dates back to the days when her father was known as Captain Hawk - and what endangers her most is the increasingly passionate attraction they feel for each other.

I loved the story line and I want more of the Mallorys, I was disappointed with the performance of the narrator it would have been100% better with Laural Merlington...

    "energetic and fun!"

I am glad for another Mallory sequel. The story of Jacqueline and Damon was very fun. the daughter of James Mallory start of all the sequels was fun to have his daughter go through some of the same things that his wife Georgina went through. Turnabout is always fair play. Fun read

    "Is this the last Malory?"

I enjoyed it. I can only rate the story. I've been a fan of Ms. Lindsay since the early 80's. From cowboys to pirates and then off planet adventures, the writing has been superb.
Since no younger Malorys made an appearance in the book, I'm taking it as an indication that the Georgian Malorys are done.
I hope Johanna has it in her to extend the family to the 21st century before she quits.

    "Very good continuation: Terrible Performance"

I really enjoyed hearing about Jack Mallory amd her story with Damon. It was an interesting read. I gave it 4/5 because in the beginning when they were talking about the first time he captured her I personally felt like I missed something. The performance was terrible. Not the fact that she didn't try, to me her voice just should not be on an audio book.

"Johanna Lyndsey used to be a good read......"
What would have made Beautiful Tempest better?

Everything. Terrible plot, story, over use of malllory cliches and a very bad narrator.

Would you ever listen to anything by Johanna Lindsey again?

No. This is my last time spending money hoping she would write like she used to.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Beverley A. Crick?

Anyone except that Landor lady narrator.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Beautiful Tempest?

Go back and read your older material and figure out what's missing.

    "NARRATOR IS TERRIBLE"
What disappointed you about Beautiful Tempest?

The narrator. She can't read a story, change voices or do accents. And the ones she does do are so overdone, it's cheesy. She pauses too much and reads slow. Ugh.

What didn’t you like about Beverley A. Crick’s performance?

    Everything.
