Better Than Good

I at first didn't want to read it. I wanted more of Chloe and Bennett but I got this anyway while waiting for the next continuation to come out. From the beginning I loved it! I think I ended up liking Max and Sarah's story even more than the first book! I laughed out loud multiple times and cant to read more from them!

This is actually part of a series, the first book is called Beautiful Bastard. Some of the same people WILL pop up, but it can also be a stand alone book.

This is the story of a naive girl, but she's NOT a virgin so we don't have to listen to THAT plot again!, but she is in her late 20's and been with the same man for 6 years...and he wasn't much of a man. After she discovers that he has been whoring around Chicago for the last 6 years that they have been together she decides it's time to start her life over again with her friends who just moved to NYC. While trying to start over...new job, new apartment, new city, new life...she meets a Beautiful Stranger and decides that she is tired of being proper Sarah...she wants to be adventurous Sarah...and so that is who she is with this man.

This was a wonderful follow up to BB, and I will gladly read what ever this author puts out there, the book had me from chapter 1, and I love that in a book, so story gets 5 stars, more if I could....now for the narration...because I have to be picky about something! I liked the idea of having both a male and a female narrator, they took turns based on if the current chapter was from the male POV or the female POV...I wish they had just been all the males and all the females. My problem is that the male lead in the book is from London, he has an accent. While from the female POV the female had an american accent and a passable British accent....from the male POV the male had a British accent and the female...ALSO did! Also the male narrator didn't do female voices well at all, sometimes I got confused who was saying what. So for the female narrator I give 5 stars, for the male I give you a 2...sorry!

The narration was a bit annoying but didn't detract too much from the great story, buy it! Totally worth it!

Good book, worth a listen

Story was pretty good, I dislike the artificial conflict at the end but the rest of the good was very good. Narrators did a nice job, although the English accents didn't seem consistent to me. Mr. Cole does have a nice voice.

This is a great book. The writing was extremely entertaining and well done. The entire series is close to perfection. I highly recommend the entire series. The characters are adorable and funny and fun. Johnathan Cole is extremely charming as the male narrator. The makes the character even more than he was on the written page which was almost perfect to begin with.

British leading men are hot....

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I was rooting for Max all the way through the book but at times wanted to shake sense into Sara. No laughing or crying but I did smile from time to time while listening.

The reader can never go wrong with a British male lead character.

Loved this!! Just finished it again! This is a series u can go back to over & over! The Brit in this one is such a turn on and the sexiness is super charged & uber creative! I'm usually a 4, 4.5 star girl even for my favs but this I gave 5. Between the narrators, great flow, A+ character development & storyline, interesting female lead, Alpha male not afraid of intimacy-this series just gets better & better! I have them all- it's a no brainer. Since the final Beautiful was just released, I decided to reacquaint myself with this group again. Totally worth every second & $$$ & credit
