Romance Thriller

I was hoping the narrator would go for a more nerdy portrayal of the main character. I felt her voice didn't really portray Ember, but with that said I liked her normal voice so YMMV.

I was a little skeptical of the plot from early on in the book. I mean, since when did hacking become synonymous with typing correctly quickly? I didn't buy the romance between Ember and Ryland and would have preferred without it. Ember complains about Ryland's personality and smugness then talk about how attractive he is in the same sentence felt more like a teen romance. And making out in the middle of their first job? The audible description focuses on hacking, but it's really a sideline. This is more of a romance than a thriller.

This audiobook was given to me for a honest unbiased review. This was wonderful. I love this series. The four books in one book was awesome, and definitely a money saver. This series is a very sweet romantic mysterious adventure.

There's more to life than looks, money and career - which Ember the computer hacker is about to find out. Who doesn't need a little adventure and romance in their life?

I found Abrasive to be a very enjoyable listen and loads of fun. Ember's voice sounded a little sexpot-ish but I think it added to the charm of the story. Overall the narration was well done and I would recommend Abrasive.

L L Ronine did a fine job writing this book. Although at times some of the deeds done by characters in book were far fetched.
Shoshanna Franck was a pleasure to listen to.
The story has everything you need. And thank you for putting all books into one.
I highly recommend this book to anyone that is into hacking stories.

Hackers romance

This was really great I listened to it in 2 days. I could hardly put it down. There was one element I didn't care for.
Reasons I enjoyed this audio book,

Not a bad book but the narration ruined it for me

I liked the story fine but I had a hard time enjoying it

How could the performance have been better?

The main female character was smart and strong but the narration made her sound like a dumb blond porn star. Too breathy and always sounded like she was trying to be sexy instead of the intelligent hacker she was.

Interesting, but..

While I thought the story was interesting, it was just a bit unbelievable. I'm in favor of fast moving stories, but I feel like there could've more details given.
The narrator was very good. She was very well spoken. Her male voices may need a little work, but overall you definitely distinguish the different characters.

It was ok.

I was thankful that all books where combined into one purchase, I am not a fan of buying multiple little books to hear one story.
This book wasn't awful or anything, you grab my interest I wish it would. I'm a technology junkie so I kind of this book would really love the characters explore technology.
To me the characters didn't seem very developed. I hate the same old song and dance where they see a guy one time, fall madly in love with them at first glance. They constantly go back and forth on the matter.

Not as good as I thought it would be

The book has a little bit of everything in it mystery, romance, thrills, adventurer. I thought this was a believable plot that does pull the listener in.

Ms. Franck has a very pleasant voice but her character voice of Ember didn’t come off as a nerdy person. In my mind she was more of sexy on a stick which messed with how I pictured her. I thought her character voices were good. There are no repeats of wording, no background noises or even volume changes. She really puts emotion into the listen you have no trouble knowing what each character is feeling. It is a very clear audio. I am still having trouble getting past the sexy voice for the nerdy lady.

I thought the plot was good, giving me a little of everything. It was great to have all the book in one audio. I am a little mixed at time it kept my attention and other times I found myself wondering. I enjoyed it but it isn’t an audio I would want to listen to again.

Not Quite the Book I was Expecting

Overall then plot was enjoyable but too much intrigue on the sex and romance and not enough intrigue in the plot. It is based on a world class hacker threatened by her dark, sort of, past. Don’t all hackers have a dark past. I thought that is what made the so good.
This is okay for an easy listen but remember to set reality and the narration aside.
