Good classic RPG fiction

Interesting world building. The main characters are fairly well fleshed out. Peter Berkrot does a outstanding narration. -1 star on the story just because it ends on a cliff hanger. Enjoying the series. Will get the next book as soon as it comes out.

The characters and story

Love the story, characters and constantly on the edge of my seat. the unique way to combine smithing and more combat role is brilliant.

Great as always

I wasn't sure about this series when I first looked it over. That said. My only complaint is that waiting for each new book is agonizing. Both the story and the performance are great. Two thumbs up.

Love the character building it really keeps you invested I’ve been waiting on this drop since the last one came out :)

Getting his armor stolen….

After working on a project for the entire series just for it too get “stolen” by a dumb skill is just infuriating. Accidentally losing it because he didnt understand what his abilities are capable of makes it seem like the story line has no real direction, it’s just being made up from one book to the other.

Well written with good characters. Finished it in like 3-4 days.hope i dont have to wait 6 months for the next one

This series is epic!! I’m hoping for many more books. Anything less than 8 books total is a tragedy. So much great material to continue with to get to a wonderfully crafted crescendo of climax and closure. The characters, the world, the story, everything is simply creative genius. February can not get here quick enough!!!!

like the title says, it feels like this installment is just setting up the next big chapter for menagery. fun stuff!

Actus is such an amazing writer

Update after finishing :
This was easily my favorite in the series so far; so many great story lines and character building. I literally got goosebumps from the buildup and conclusion of one of the items that was forged but I won't spoil the surprise. I'm so sad I have to wait for the next one now but that's the way it goes.

I'm about halfway through right now and loving every minute. Actus has absolutely become my favorite lit RPG writer. You know a book is good when all you can think about is how sad you're going to be when it's over and you have to wait for the next one
