Infuser. Invoker. Necromancer. And Summoner.

Summoners were responsible for bringing the demon hordes to Elaria in the first place, and their existence has been purged from the marked bloodlines.

Full-marked shouldn’t exist, yet here he is.

With his newfound powers, Elian must gain skills, fight the demons, and get himself and the other miners back to the city safely—but if anyone discovers what he truly is,he’ll be killed on sight the moment he returns.

oh yeah he's gonna learn real fast

I am loving this series although he may have all the powers he is still going to have to fight to survive, I am loving the part where it all clicks for him and then he goes Super Saiyan. between Todd writing an awesome book and Matt and Erin narrating prepare yourself to go on an adventure until this nitty gritty world can't wait for book two!

Best book I've read in a few days.

This start to a series is pretty darn good.
And something I can, and did, recommend to my teenager.
Lots of great story, action and magic.
The MC gets a taboo power that he has to hide.
I'm really looking forward to the next book.
I'm giving this book 9 out of 5 stars.

Rise of a Hero, and Demon Pet

Author: Todd Herzman. Interesting story that takes place over a few days, somewhat similar to Mad Max Fury road. But it’s not Mad Max Fury Road. Just our protagonist, Elian, going from powerless to powerful in a day and all the problems that arise from it. Great setting of world and characters. DRmz 11-13-24

solid start

I really enjoyed this start of this new series. I thought the mc was pretty likable and not overly op (yet). the action scenes were well written also. looking forward to exploring more of this world.

Excellent fun!

I quite enjoyed this book, and look forward to the next one! Things kept me guessing all along, especially at the potential history of the world!

I have only listened to a couple books by this narrator, but he is sure growing on me! just wish we got more of Erin in this book too, lol, but such is life,

soooooo mache recap ever 2~3 santanses there is a recap, and it gets really anoyen really fast, in sort don't get.

Come on

Do you think your readers are 10 or something? I feel like you're trying to hold my hand throughout the entire book. I mean like with the make-up do you think the reader, or listener in my case, didn't think of that 2 chapter before you introduced it like it was the greatest idea since sliced bread. I get the MC is poor and all and hasn't seen alot, but come on he doesn't have to be naive to the point of stupid. When you make the MC stupid we have to put up with stupid the entire series.

Grade B for me

The book was ok. I see potential, but there is a lot that is lacking. I do like the struggle, yet it wasn't an amazing struggle. I guess he is coming into his power so he isn't OP yet. Also he kind of acts out at weird times when he should be low key. I won't go into details, but lets see what the future books reveals. :)
