Excellent start to a new litrpg series

I started reading this on Royal Road but didn't get much past chapter 30 before it got stubbed. So glad to find it on Audible!

Rin is a reincarnated man from earth with childhood trauma from his past life that he tries hard to not get him down in this life. This book is a great start to a new series.

A lot of reviews here question Christian Gilliland as the narrator but I disagree with them. He has a very soothing voice and does a good job. If his dulcet tones are likely to lull you to sleep just speed it up a bit; it's worth the listen.

Really good

Genre is overdone but this sticks out as really well done. Way more unique than i thought it would be from the description.

REALLY GOOD and no hypocrite healer trope

I think what bothers me the most about some healer books is the healer gets the idea that killing anyone is bad, even if the person was quite literally trying to rip his head off.

This healer, while having the moral conundrum, realizes that leaving enemies alive to stab you in the back is in fact really stupid. Glad the author went this direction.

Good, but

the author did pretty good, but I'm getting a lot of "The Beginning After The End" vibes. the author here does well to try to curb most of it I think, but there is definitely room for improvement.

Above par

I liked the duality of not only being a healer but a warrior as well. I would say the thing I missed in the story was character development for family members and getting more involved besides the occasional run-in.
