Publisher's summary

One man. One tower. One year to escape before everyone dies.

Lucas was shocked when he awoke to find the world had ended. An alien AI called the System had taken over Earth and transformed his apartment building into a 100-floor dungeon tower of traps, monsters, and loot. Trapped at the top, Lucas and the other residents have just one year to reach the ground floor and escape before the tower self-destructs.

That’s his first problem.

The second is he slept through the System’s welcome orientation, so a Class was picked for him. Lucas is now a Blood Reaver. A brutal Class based on speed, ferocity, and striking from the shadows. He’s expected not to just defeat his enemies, but to slaughter them and bathe in their blood. Their blood is now his power.

Outraged at being invaded, Lucas vows to grow stronger and take back his world. He will not only survive but thrive as he carves a bloody path to freedom.

a good litrpg book with a interesting world build

ever just have a dead sleep and miss super important messages? well, that's the main character! lol he has to make best with given "gifts" in a apocalypse style world. I can't say more on that or spoil the goods
the narration is well done and in a voice that can be made out well with good audio
the main character has his flaws that make it interesting to see what he will do with a mess of different elements agenst him and friends/allys the ending? well that makes me impatient to get the next book can't wait

Power of Blood

Wow this book is really fast paced. From start to finish, it just goes for an adventure.

good book, crap character

This book isn't horrible or irredeemable, but don't like the mc on a personal level.
1. Abandoned first person in party.
2.Panicky wuss
3. To stupid to inventory corpses, or ask party for blood.
4.Could use companion to pelican blood to him.
5. A bit slow on the uptake.
6. Cocky with no basis.
7. Traitorous tendencies and the absence of his "will" stat shows.

A pleasant surprise

Took a chance and was not disappointed. Good story, unique build for MC, unique companion, and wonderfully tied together with solid narration. Looking forward to book 2.

It Was an OK beginning?

It was an OK to a story, but there was a lot of confusion. At one point, it describes something happening and then later it counter that description. Plus the main character every time he fights someone of significance and despite how many levels he gains his opponent is always levels above him. There was never any explanation how his opponents could gain so many levels and always out level him. (with only one exception ) It is like the Author decided to throw logic out the window and just assume anybody who will be his opponent would just automatically gain levels. Despite all this, the story is still pretty good unfortunately, if this trend continues in the future, it does not bode well for a long-term series.

A Deliciously Bloody story....

This was one of the first audiobooks that I continously and admittedly listened to, and man what a great ride! We as listeners get to experienced a new kind of LitRPG one that doesn't shy away from killing characters so be warned do not get attached to them to quickly. Other that that we get to experience a class that is so uniquely satisfying in how it it portrait that you can't wait to take a 'bite' out of it. All I have to say to the author is well done!

The story was good, but the MC was pathetic.

The MC was a moron. He could not carry the story, he had to always get bailed out by his associates. A MC should be able to carry the story and bail his associates out of trouble. Did not seem to know what was going on, don’t know why the author wrote him this way. The story is self was interesting and I’d like to see the MC grow and I will probably read the next book if there is one. The narrators were awesome.
