really really decent story

honestly I don't know why so many people didn't like this for some reason all of the comments that I saw made no sense to me mind you I've learned something with reviews Don't always go by what people say I've listened to plenty of stories that had near five stars and thousands of reviews only for them to turn out garbage and other stories barely breaking four stars and end up being incredible stories this is an example of the latter 4.6 is not bad but it does give pause there are plenty of things that I liked about this story usually I give pros and cons but there really aren't many cons

several pros I like the constant ability that the main character shows He's overpowered but not really in the traditional sense his ability is for sure powerful but it is experience and knowledge that give him his true edge which if people complain about have no concept of how truly powerful knowledge and experience can be think of any mainstay main character from any anime or manga or whatever and they constantly broach that subject that the main character needs more experience and knowledge to be formidable this story shows exactly why that's the case as it should be

I also really like how he has a really cool and unique ability that he's already had a lifetime to master so he knows the ins and outs so we don't have to go through some 3-hour training session or nonsense only for him to discover a common sense way to use it I always hate that about stories thankfully it's not the case here

maybe a slight con in the stories favor is the constant issues the main character has to deal with right off the bat from instant demon fight to dealing with a corrupt noble to dealing with assassins it happens way too fast for the sake of the story especially because the story says he only woke up like a few days ago I just feel like it's way too fast for my liking I really would have liked to just see the main character get built up a little bit before diving straight into things like that however it was really well written in my opinion I'll be it frustrating in the sense of how this story tends to treat nobles which seems quite strange like an example the story saying it was quite common for nobles to be somehow abducted and Ransom to be paid like how is this normal in any normal sense of any society ever this would be instant death sentences for everybody involved but I digress it's not worth rating the story lower than five stars it's just a small slight and I like to be unbiased

I like the main characters interaction with his best friend and how he speaks to people who constantly underestimate him it's pretty enjoyable and the fights are actually really really well done and one example the main character literally pulling the heart out of another guy I also like how he can show his incredibly unique ability can be unimaginably destructive even in the smallest sense even using pea sized wormholes it's actually quite interesting seeing the creativity

Rift Magus is off to a fantastic start! I thoroughly enjoyed book one from beginning to end. The main character is incredibly well-developed and interesting, the world-building is excellent, and the battles are exciting and well-written. Everything about the story is engaging, and I honestly have no complaints. The narration is also top-notch, making the experience even better. I’m eagerly looking forward to book two and wish it was already out!

Great story and non-stop action!

Story flowed well and non-stop action. Isekai style story with OP main character. I like the series and can’t wait for the next book.

nobles

great book. might even pick up the second one. my only complaint is a fairly mild one. It's the constant talk about nobles and respect. The noble MC will go and do under the table/illegal trades and demand constant respect. it was starting to ware at me by the end. overall a good listen.

Decent fun

The trope was one I like so I figured I would enjoy this and mostly I did. My one critique regarding the story is that it’s very basic. Nice, but a nothing spectacular story wise. That said, it was enjoyable enough. That said, the reading could have been better. It felt like the narrator never changed his tone and kept this song song my way of speaking that got annoying and felt inappropriate at times. Finally, I’m disappointed that this costs a credit on its own. It is a very short book, and so you might want to consider if it’s worth a while credit for just a few hours.

slow start but about halfway…

It started to pick up and turned into a suspense full thriller… all that dramatic stuff to get the blood pumping … about 7 hr left mark and 👍

Worth my coin

It was a good read. The world building is very interesting. And boy is the MC arrogant haha. He is hilariously indignant about the lack of respect to the nobility.

So the book was entertaining but nothing more to be honest, I don't know if it a translated book or not but at parts it sounded like a Russian translated book. still a decent listen to past the time

I’m excited to see what comes for this series. Definitely a less boring alternative to other fantasy books. It’s worth a credit
